We were on our way out the door to take the dog to the beach. I noticed the cat was peering into the small (about 8 inches wide) area between the fridge and a wall. We keep the doggy gates and her food in the small area as it's convenient and out of the way. Thankfully, her food is always on top of the gates. I said something to DH about the cat acting awfully funny- stiff legged and flipping her tail back and forth. He replies, "Yea. The dog was sniffing around back there, too." My thought: Oh no... what's back there.

I move the dog food. . . . . . .
I move doggy gate one. . . . . . .
I got to move doggy gate two and there it is. . . . .

Our very own Minnie Mouse (it's arbitary that it's a woman becuase she was a smart little thing!). UGH. :scared:

We chased her around the kitchen for 45 minutes before we caught her! DH took her outside and put her down near a bush. I'm hoping she's not smart enough to make her way back in.

Poor dog. First, she misses out on her walk and then the cat gets credit for her find :rotfl:

Lots of mouses going around right now. I just wish they were all the sweet, dressed in a tux or red polka dot dress type! ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

Did "Miss Minnie" have pretty little rounded ears? :teeth: Soooooooo glad you set her free, but I'll bet she'll be back!

we just caught 2 in my laundry room. my cats were hissing towards my entertainment unit down in the basement living room and it must have hidden in the corner behind all my mickey mouses.. :rotfl2: well it got away so we set up traps in the laundry room-so the cats wouldnt get hurt, and low and behold we got 2.i know what you mean about wishing they looked more mickeyish...they creep me out! :cat: ::MickeyMo

I share your pain. See my recent thread...at least it wasn't in the middle of the night!!!

I don't like those things...

Once I was at a friends and we saw a mouse jump about 4 ft up onto a counter. Boy are those things strong!!!

Don't think she's not smart enough to come back, as you said she is a woman after all ;)

That must have been Mighty Mouse.

Anyone remember Mighty Mouse? Sing it with me....

Mister Trouble never hangs around
When he hears this Mighty sound.

"Here I come to save the day!"
That means that Mighty Mouse is on his way.
Yes sir, when there is a wrong to right
Mighty Mouse will join the fight.
On the sea or on the land,
He gets the situation well in hand.

I heard once to get a bathtowel really wet, not dripping, and throw in on top of the mouse. It is easier than chasing it, and the weight of the towel prevents the mouse from getting away. I've never tried it, but reportedly, it works.

Wow. I never thought about it- but I bet it does work...
