Guess what???? I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!

So, I am on a Disney cruise. Got to Acapulco and decided to call home. My dh tells me to call Travis because the Cruise Line sort of messed up his flower order for me on my birthday and he needed to know.

Okay, I can do that. I don't call Travis because he is teaching and I don't want to disturb him so, I call Lori, my daughter-in-law, instead. The conversation went like this:

Lori: Did you get our email?

Me: I haven't checked my email in a couple of days

Lori: Okay, well, I'm pregnant

Me: SCREAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lori: Owww...do you know how far away I had to hold the phone when you did that???​

Let's just skip ahead, now. I am driving everyone crazy. They are trapped with me until September 3, I figure there are at least 1,000 people remaining who don't know that I'm going to be a grandmother, but they will, I promise you.


I'm so hap, hap, HAPPY. I'm going to be a grandma...did you know that makes a great little chant when you set it to a conga beat? My shipmates know

I'm so obnoxious but we all knew that I would be, didn't we?

I already bought a little size one outfit in Acapulco (smallest size available), I just HAD to buy something.

I couldn't wait to tell everyone my happy news. Celebrate with me! I'm gonna be Grandma...I'm gonna be a Grandma! (See, doesn't that work well with a conga beat?)

Oh how awesome.

My MIL was the same way. The night we told her she went kinda nuts because there was nobody around she could tell (who didn't already know). We all went out for dinner and she ran into a friend of hers at the resteraunt, whom she promptly assaulted with overwhelming joy that she was finally going to be part of the unofficial Grandparents Club.

And the funniest part was that her friend reminded her that just about 2 weeks prior, MIL was lamenting that she was the ONLY one out of her group of friends that didn't have grandkids yet.
