Guess what I did.....

Seeing as I now have 270 points banked into next year and my AKL deluxe Savannah view was costing me 189 points, I made another call to ms. I was thinking that now I have 270-189 or 81 extra banked points. This short vacation is probably the only one we will take this year.....can't bank them again.

I asked about delux savannah concierge. It was 231 points versus the 189, these are almost found points, go for it!!!!

I still have 39 points for a single night or two sometime...one of the benefits of being a Floridian.


We just simple folk, aint never stayed in no concierge befur, will the AKL Concierge be something cool??

Hey Rich,

I think you'll like AKL & the Concierge there (particularly the coffee & food perks) are just great.... We stayed on Concierge in December & overlooked Arusha Rock, we loved the experience... But, if you don't know it, they offer a special Safari for concierge guests. I'm not one to spend money, BUT, in this case, you just have to do it. They offer the safari on Tuesday & Saturday mornings & they start somewhere around 7am. You go through the traditional safari ride at AK, but much slower, no theming & you have your own Animal specialist that knows an awful lot about AK & the animals there... The safari is 40.00 per adult & is concluded with a private buffet breakfast that was out of this world... It's a bit of a splurge, but if you are staying at AKL Concierge, it is an absolute must do... you can book directly through the AKL Concierge staff in advance of your stay....

Rich go over to the resorts board. Mom & Dad are treating us to AKL concierge in April and I posted a question about it over there. They'll tell ya bout the food etc. Like you we're simple folk too and have never stayed concierge and probably never will again unless mom and dad pay for it

At 11:30 this morning the travel channel had a Great Hotels special about AKL. She showed various rooms, the buffets for concierge, and the sunrise savannah tour. It was interesting, as I have never seen the resort before. Anyway, if you are interested, check their website , because usually they run these shows again. I checked this weeks schedule and it will not show again this week, but maybe it will show up again in the next few weeks. Erin

If you think BWV rooms are small, you haven't seen anything yet! AKL will make BWV look huge!! ; )

We stayed at AKL just for a night and it was wonderful. I wouldn't stay there again just because it isn't us. However, I think everyone should try it. The resort itself is beautiful and I would go back for the food alone. Have a great time!
