Oh I know...... I know!!!!

Pick me!!!!!!:cool1:

So you had better post some pics and a TR tonight, cuz starting tomorrow your going to be a busy woman!

You think I have a TR in me? Are you insane? My TR would need lots of cheese with my whine (aside from the highlights you guys already know about).... I was not overly thrilled with my traveling companion for various reasons. To the extent, in fact, its changing our wills....

Anyway.... hopefully I won't be *too* busy!

I am not going to do a trip report. My trip was ummm not great. I promise a full tr in Oct! Here are some pics from the trip. Jared doesn't care for the camera these days, so he isn't in as many...

Since you have seen the princess with the princesses... here they are with 2 cute princes

Can I play too? I think it's a Tasmanian Devil! From wikipedia:

"It is characterised by its brown (ok, black) fur, offensive odor when stressed, extremely loud and disturbing screech, and viciousness when feeding." Sounds like a great family pet.:thumbsup2

Oh very very close, but not quite! ;)

Those are awesome pictures! I love the t-shirts and of course Julia's is pink! I would never have guessed that Jared is afraid of characters w/ masks - he's got a huge grin in the picture with Minnie. You've got beautiful kids!

psssst Saxton.

I know! She's not picking me, wanna know the answer?

Well she needs to learn to calm down! Jeesh! The afternoon gang didn't even get to play!

OMG !:wizard:

What a cutie. Now this one is just visiting right?

I knew it!!! He's adorable. How old is he and what's his name? And more importantly, when are you taking him for his first trip to WDW????

Congratulations!!!

PS: Sometimes they do sound like Tasmanian Devils when they're little!

Well these are pics from Feb. I will have to take new ones....

His name is Esaie. He is from Burkina Faso. I got him in December for cleft lip/palate repair. However, when I got to the airport I knew there was a *lot* more wrong with him. He wasn't breathing properly. So I took him straight to the Ped.

2 days later he had his heart checked. His arteries were backwards, 2 holes, etc.

We could not find a dr locally to donate his care. In Feb he was moved to Cleveland to have his heart repaired. Now, 3 procedures later I get him back for his cleft lip and palate repair!

Once he is all fixed he will get to go home to mom and dad...

So yes, just visiting....

nudge nudge..

(Did I say the Mom of the year or what?)

Wow! I know a bit about congenital heart defects ... well, more than a bit. I'm glad they found it and fixed everything in time. How long will you have him? And how did you get connected to him?

We do Medical Missions. He is our umm.... 6th (I think?) host child from Africa here for Medical care. We have had kids anywhere from 8 weeks to 53 weeks. From weee little newborns at a mere 5 lbs up to 6 yrs old. I tend to get the babies. The lady that runs our organization knows I am a schmuck and will get some weight on them quick feeding them hourly if I have to. She loves to send me cleft babies that are so terribly tiny (because in africa they have no way to feed them except medical syringes)....

Anyway, its awsome and we *love* it. I *think* he will be here *about* 3-4 months. However, the little girl we had 53 weeks was suppose to be here 8. I don't typically think in length of time. They can stay til they are well and healthy. I am nuts!

I can't wait to see him tmw! We also get to see a baby we had last August, she was a cleft baby also. We got her at 5 lbs, so dehydrates and fragile! She is back now at 1 yr old for her palate repair... So excited to get some snuggles with them both! :)

Beth - that is great. I don't know who's luckier - you or the kids. I have a feeling you both benefit from this and I'm sure Jared and Julia like being the big kids for a while. Give us an update when you get him.

Beth, I have to second Mike's comment.

Mom of the year indeed.

I'm in awe of you. You're amazing.

They talk about Disney magic.

But you, lady. You're the real magic.
