Guess on Homeschool Day 2014

Hello!

We are planning on going to Disney in Jan 2014 and would like to take advantage of the homeschool day (if offered). Does anyone have a guess what day the class will be offered on?

I found this statement online: "I did a little digging and based on the dates from 2010-2012 it looks like it's always the 4th Monday and Tuesday of January." I don't know if that's accurate or not, but that's what someone thinks...

Seems to be early October usually, although it has happened in late October too. I think this year it's the 9th.

I just emailed the program, and this is the response I received:

Thank you for contacting Disney Youth Group Programs regarding our
Disney Y.E.S. Individual Enrollment and Homeschool Days programs. We are currently, still enrolling guests for our summer and fall 2013 programming. We will not be announcing any 2014 dates till later this fall. You will be added to our email update list, so you get automatic updates when we make those announcements.

Please note, that historically our programs have been available on select dates in January/February and June thru October.

I also did some digging. It sounds like they will announce the dates in Oct for next Jan.

Here is what I have come up with past dates:
Jan 24th-26th (Sun-Tue)
Jan 24 & 25, 2011 (Mon/Tue)
Jan 25, 2012 (Wed)
Jan 25, 2013 (Fri)

Not sure if it will be Jan 25th in 2014 since that's a Sat? Maybe the 24th?

I thought I'd come back and update - I just emailed and the Winter Homeschool Day in 2014 is FEBRUARY 27, 2014! (I know the past several years it's been end of Jan.) Luckily, we hadn't booked out accommodations yet and we have flexibility. Looks like our countdown to Disney just got extended by a month!

I am so excited to hear of the late Feb date. I homeschool my three youngest and just sent my oldest to high school. But, he has a spring break at that time.

Does anyone know if the YES individual enrollment prices are the same as homeschool days?

Homeschool days allow the parents to get the same rate whereas the IND tickets now charge full price for the parents.

The fall homeschool day for 2013 was today, so I doubt they have released the info for next year yet.

Just got the following e-mail:

Thank you for contacting Disney Youth Group Programs regarding our
Disney Y.E.S. Individual Enrollment and Homeschool Days programs. We invite you to
connect your homeschoolers to the natural world for a special presentation featuring the
Disneynature film BEARS at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park on February 27, 2014 at
8:30 AM.

Students will get in touch with nature while discovering the importance of conservation
for wildlife and wild places. Take an in-depth look at how we can make a difference for
bears, like the ones featured in the Disneynature film BEARS, opening in theaters April
2014.

At this time, we are developing the registration site for the event. Please feel free to
check back to our website often for registration!

Bummer for us - we're trying for a January trip. I'll have to refigure. Hope it helps someone else though!

Does anyone know what the prices were for the fall homeschool days? I figure they ought to be about the same, maybe just a little more for Feb. Also, what is the weather like in Feb? I dont want to be walking around in jackets and long pants!

The only other info I can offer is that I had priced out tickets for 2 adults/2 kids (one 10 yrs old, one 8 yrs old) 8 day park hoppers and the total was $799.20.
