Guess/estimate amount...... cruise fund

If you are American then I think less than $200. If you are Canadian and there are loonies and toonies in there.....probably $500.

When will we know???

:rotfl:American

I am going to call my sil today - she has an account with TD bank (so no charge). I need her to go - if I go to the local supermarket you get charged - I don't even know what it is now 9%. Hoping to go this week otherwise I might be rolling.

DH keeps all of his coins in a big bowl and two times ago when he went to roll it we bought an inexpensive machine to separate and "roll it" (well, drop it into tubes). His parents told him off because they enjoy sitting there and rolling it all!:confused3 Oh the things retirees do to fill their time!

I'm on the edge of my seat, can't believe your going to leave us hanging :faint:

I'm Back - sorry for the delay.

Okay - I thought I had more the last time - perhaps there were more quarters. Still a nice change.

Pennies --------------------$48.26

Coins (no pennies/grey can) ...............$411.26

TOTAL $ 459.50

.50 cents put towards nest fund :goodvibes

Thanks everyone - who was closest?

WTG..that's a good chunk of change!
I just looked back and there were 3 guesses for 462 lol :rotfl:

I was so close. Over by 2.50
Great job.. nice little bundle to put towards Disney
Sorry, I can't remember if you said this, but how long did it take you to save that money?

The last time I filled this up and used it was for our 2007 11 N. Med cruise - I think I had a few dollars more. I want to say it was the Spring of 07 - so five long years. It takes so long but you don't even feel it. I only kept quarters in my wallet and put any other change in there (including when I had a ton of quarters). I am starting it again :rotfl:

wow! That's a nice amount for "just change"!
make's me want to start since I have 16 months!! ahahahahah:rotfl:
I just fear that I would dip in during emergencies. I am going to give it a shot!

Saving change is such a easy way to save! Since July, we saved almost $300 that way (I just cashed it in a few weeks ago for this year's trip). We've started over as well.

We save our change too - although most quarters end up NOT in the bank for school lunch money. We have a bank that tallies the amount each time you put in a coin (from Kohl's). We started (again) in October after we came back from WDW and have $107 in there right now.

I also save all the $5 bills that I get. They are not spent and put into a separate envelope for our Disney trips. Those bad boys add up fast!

I have found that if I put my quarters in the M & M tubes and say they are for pressed pennies, I won't spend them. The only problem is that I REALLY doubt we're doing pressed pennies this time so now when we get to DW, I will need to convince myself that it really is okay to spend them.

Wow - that's really good.

My son's do this also. It is an easy way to let a few coins add up - it's nice when you cash them in no matter how much. Happy savings everyone!!!
