The hospital!!! We went and cut our tree down, came home, etc.... DS5 was trying to take his sweater off and fell. He hit his eye on the corner of the table and busted his eyelid open. They opted to glue the eyelid instead of stitches so I'm hoping it will hold and he won't have a scar.

This is not how I wanted to spend my Saturday! LOL

Well he's still sleeping so that's good. He slept through the night so I guess his eye didn't hurt to much. The boys were all wrestling last night after we got back so I had to yell at them, I was not taking another kid to the hospital. At least having 3 boys makes me fairly immune to cuts and gashes. Plus DH has had over a 1000 stitches and 8 broken noses in his time so it's nothing new to him. The guys at the hospital were funny, they're like well we don't want to put stitches in unless we have to. It can be very upsetting to the parents. I'm like dude I have 3 boys and a husband who rides mountain bikes, nothing fazes me!

The cut on the eye looks exactly like a cut a boxer would get so we've been calling him Rocky. LOL I'm so glad we took tree pictures at the farm instead of waiting til we got home. Of course I now need to take after pictures and it will make for a cute scrap story right?!

Oh the trials and tribulations of being a mommy! Here's hoping for a mellow Sunday. We're going to put the tree up, decorate the butt ugly tree outside and finish hanging the wreaths on the front of the house. I'm hoping to post pics later. I may even snap a few of the eye.

Rocky, hee hee, that is funny. Make sure you take pictures. I forgot to take my camera when the first cast came off and my DH was NOT taking the camera when he took him to get the last cast off.

I'm glad he is feeling better and you get to go decorate the butt ugly tree.

The glue isn't that bad, it's like a medicinal type of super glue. Then they glued steri strips over it so the cut wouldn't separate.

I got the wreaths up, Santa came by on the town fire truck, and 1/2 the lights are on the tree outside. The tree is up inside but bare. DH is on his way to CA and we're already eating dinner. I might actually stay on schedule this week!

I'm sorry you had that little adventure, but I'm glad he's doing better now.

That medicinal "superglue" is great - one of my DsDs got it when she somehow split her eyebrow open in a head-butting incident (don't even ask.)

Poor guy! I have to use this opportunity to tell on DH, though. Many years ago he went in to have a mole on his neck removed, they gave him the numbing injection, the doctor turned around and DH pitched forward off the examining table and cracked his eyebrow open on the bottom corner of a cabinet! They had to call me to come to the hospital to get him. They did go ahead and get the mole off though!

I love it! Little Rocky! Hope he is feeling much better now! I had that happen to me, except I had to have the stiches! Cause I cut the artery in my head along with the gash! Yeah, gotta go all the way!!!! I fell and hit my head on a cinderblock! It really hurt!

I think I had a black eye for about 2 weeks!!!!

Well, I know he will feel better soon! You sound like you know the routine, good girl, don't over react, that is the worst thing!!!! Then the kid freaks!!! Have a good one!

Oh no you poor thing! Chicken pox and a glued eyelid!! Has there been anything else, these things tend to come in 3's so lets hope it's a grazed knee or something!! Hope the hiloidays go better for you!
