I got one at 10am so u need to be there before 930 I would say.

I would get everyone in the park then just u go over and get the fast passes for guardians.

I would single rider cars if your kids are old enough

It really depends on how early the line forms. We were there last weekend and entered on Extra Magic Hours (8:00 - 9:00) both Sunday and Monday morning. Good for you that there is it not EMH because last weekend by 8:50am the FP time was 3:50pm and by 10:00am all of the FP were gone for the day. There were 2 lines queued up at the entrance, one for the Ride and one for the FP, if you need to ride it in the morning, why don't you all get in the Rider line, and once you're in the park, have the other adult quickly take all the tickets over to RSR and get the FP for everyone. Good luck!

Just as a data point, GotG FPs ran out today between 10:20 and 10:30 am, with an 8:00 am park opening. At that time, RSR FP return times were 2:15-3:15.

Yup been like that the past 4 days

This might have happened on Saturday. On Sunday, at 905a when non-EMH guests started FP, the FP time was 11am-12noon (we pulled one at 907 for 11am-Noon). Someone posted that at 10am, they got a FP for 6pm. Monday was worse though.

I was at DCA yesterday (a Thursday). We arrived at the turnstile about 7:25. They opened the turnstile at 7:30, and we went directly to the GOTG FP line. As you turn the corner at Carthay Circle, stay to the right. Cast members will be visible and giving verbal directions as well. We got in the FP line by 7:38. They first queued us up by the Disney Junior theater, and then a temporary(tape) queue in the street, and then they walked us down to a maintenance area near the FP machines. It was very organized. My guess is that we were about 100-150 in line, and pulled FPs at 8:03 for 8:55-9:55.

I hope that helps! We rode standby later in the day (around 1pm). The app said 90 minutes when we got in line, but they announced 120 just as we were getting in line. However, it was only 80 minutes until we got on the ride vehicle -- and I'm including the lobby, office, and lift waiting area in my wait time. It was a very tolerable wait as the line kept moving and there were things of interest to look at.

When we pulled our FP around 9:10 yesterday, the return time was 4:25 pm.

There was EMH at DCA today from 8-9am. At 9:10am, GotG Fastpasses were being distributed for 10:40-11:40am. I forgot to check if they were distributing the FPs during EMH today.

GOTG for the morning and RSR before 3, hmm.. The RSR will definitely be before 3pm if you get it at a reasonable time in the morning, but the thing is you will have to wait 2 hours from when you manage to snag the GOTG Fastpass.

The line just to GET a Fastpass for GOTG was like an hour long of something when we we're in it. It started towards the entrance of the park :(

We pulled GOTG Fastpass today at 9:20 with a return time of 1-2pm, which is much earlier than I would have thought. I waited about 35 minutes in the Fastpass line, walked straight there from entering at 845am.

They are opening the main (not EMH) entrance to California Adventure at 830am only to let regular entry people into the Fastpass line...

This is not necessarily true. If one is able to snag a FP in the first few minutes after park open, the return time will be within an hour. At that point, you can go grab a Cars FP before using the GotG FP.

Yesterday, a Thursday, we were in the turnstile line by 7:25. At 7:30, they allowed people in the park to get in the FP line. We were within the first 150 people to get FPs, and pulled our FP at 8:03 with a return time of 8:55. At 8:55, we were able to pull another FP.

My suggestion to the OP is to nudge your arrival at parking up as close to 7am as you can, so you can be as close as possible to the front of the line at 7:30 when they will likely let guests into the park.

Second suggestion to the OP:

If one adult is happy with riding GotG once while the rest of the party rides twice (standby and FP), then consider the following: Arrive at the turnstiles by 7:15. After entering the park, put one adult, with activated tickets, in the FP line. The rest of the party rides GotG standby, while the one adult gets FPs for GotG, then gets a cup of coffee, and then gets FPs for Cars. As long as the rest of your party is off the ride by 9:30 or so, they should be able to use the FPs for a second ride (everyone together), and then go ride Cars.

It may not work... watch return times closely.

Yeah I know how Fastpasses work my friend LOL, but that's not applicable considering their arrival time. If they arrive at the struce at 7:15 they still need to go through security, get on a tram and walk to the entrance of the park, whilst corralling 4 children, I would put them at the entrance around 8am, depending on the wait for tram. They won't be first in line for their fastpasses, their realistic pass time will be around 10-11 or 11-12.

Even if they arrive 15 minutes earlier like you suggested to OP, it would still put them at the gates around opening, while many people have been waiting already for an hour or more to be the first people in.

This is exactly what I was hoping for and I really appreciate the strategies! We are leaving north county sd at 6 am so we can be to Mickey and friends by 7. The other adult does not want to ride and neither does 1 kid. We are two Moms, my DD are 4 and 7 and her DD are 5 and 7 so all the advice is so great!
