Guaranteeing a specific room

From reading these boards, I found a room that I really want on one of the Disney ships. I haven't booked yet, because I'm planning for 2 years from now, but when I book, can I ask for a specific stateroom and be guaranteed to get it? I know when you book at the Disney resorts and ask for a specific room, they say they'll do their best, whatever that means. But I'd like to lock in a stateroom and know that, barring some strange circumstances, I'll get that room.
Can anyone help?

Yes, you can request a certain stateroom when booking and if it's available you would get it. The vast majority of times a specific room assignment is made at booking, and you can certainly request the room you want.
