That is good to know going forward. I saw some posts during COVID where incentives were being applied. When we asked back in 2018 when we started the process we couldn't then.

I think they started a short time after Riviera went on sale - maybe a couple of months?. At first the fixed weeks there did not receive an incentive but then they changed that.

Were you able to use incentives for your Fixed Week? I know traditionally, you don't get the incentives, but heard they were allowing them since Covid started.

I was able to apply incentives to fixed weeks in summer 2020, which is part of the reason we bought them.

Nice! I originally wanted the Walk In Shower as well, as I prefer those style of showers. But then I saw the alternative layout studios at Copper Creek, and you only have a chance of getting those in the Tub Studios, so we decided to get the Tub Studios for our FWs.

Totally agree with you on this one. After any studio at the Beach Club, these alternate studios at CC are my favorite. (just from the pics I have seen) They are like a one bedroom to me. What is there like eight of them? I wonder if DVC will ever be able to put them in a seperate booking category?

My Guide (take this as you will) said that they never would, because there were so few of them and it would be difficult to manage the inventory as a result. I had inquired specifically around whether I had an option to modify my GW if they did ever make them a separate category, as I was only getting the Tub Studio because I wanted a chance at those studios.

It's why they didn't do any views at VGC too. I'd bet they wish they'd never down the shower/tub options at CCV too.

Yes, he pretty much said it was already problematic for that reason, but they needed to do it because of the difference around accessibility and demand for tubs from parents with small children. So he said they'd never do it. (He also said that because they have offered GWs, they would not change the categories because of the implications around GWs, but did also imply that if for some reason a new category was introduced, I'd be SOL.)

If my understanding is correct, all main floor studios have tubs....I think that would be 29 Tub studios without the alternate layout and 8 with the alternate layout.
