Are fixed weeks guaranteed to be dedicated units? Would that need to be requested if one wants to use the week? Also I am assuming one would still need to request a room location when keeping the fixed week for a reservation? Is there a room map with room locations and bathroom types ( walk in showers vs. tub/ shower combo?) TIA

The GW reservation is just that, an auto reservation. I haven't seen a booked pattern by MS and you will still need to make a room request if you have one.

Just got off the phone with quality assurance. They did confirm that there is no “dedicated” guarantee and would need to request that as well as location according to bathroom config.

Is ther a room map yet of Copper Creek stating dedicated, lock off units, shower only units or tub/shower units?

If your requested room is a category, there will be a problem. If you want dedicated, that is a category and the room assigner won't change you to a dedicated room, you will need a new reservation. You will have to have MS make the change but that defeats the benefit of having a guaranteed week.

So I am confused. Since my week is a tub/shower combo, cant I request a “dedicated” unit? Why would I need to make a new reservation? Isn’t that the same as requesting high or low floor? Dedicated units are not a booking category.

Sorry I had a brain fart! As long as dedicated isn't a booking category, you will have to make a request.

Yes, you can request a Dedicated Studio, assuming there are Copper Creek studios with Tub/Showers that are Dedicated and not attached to a lockoff two-bedroom vacation home.

I know the numbers of studios with Tub/Showers (37). I also know that Copper Creek has 42 Dedicated Studios and 36 Studios that are part of two-bedroom lockoff vacation homes.

What I DON"T KNOW is how many of those 37 studios with Tub/Showers are Dedicated and how many are part of a lockoff. We have stayed twice at Copper Creek and each time we booked a studio with a Walk-in Shower. The first time our studio was part of a lockoff; the second time it was a Dedicated Studio. So I suspect that two types of studios are available in either configuration.

I have not seen any maps that show the location of the studios by type of shower. If you find one, please let me know!

Keep in mind that with your GW deed you can still make requests like any other DVC guest. High floor, low floor, near elevator, facing pool, etc. As long as there is a Studio with Tub/Shower with that requested feature, then you can certainly ask for it.

Good luck!
