Guaranteed Category/Multiple Rooms

Hi:
Here's a question we hope you can help with. We're trying to book a cruise on the Dream for the summer of 2011 but we're being told that category 11 is only available in a "guaranteed" status. We realize this means that the rate is guaranteed, not the room location or category. Since we would like to have teens in one of the rooms, we'd like them nearby the adults. (Yes, we realize one adult needs to be registered in that room.) What is the likelihood that Disney will be able to get 3 rooms nearby on a guaranteed status? And, is it possible that 3 rooms if linked together would all be upgraded or just one or two or maybe none because they are linked. Your advice is always so helpful. Thanks so much!

Congrats on booking and I am sure you will enjoy your cruise. I would advice you to call the cruise line and explain this to them and make sure they note it on your folio. In case your unsure what a folio is, its your reservation and all the info disney needs. Make sure they note that you are requesting the proximity of the rooms due to youths being in the rooms and for their safety. They will do their best and most likely they will be able to accomidate you. Also when you do get your room numbers immediately call them and see if they can be switched if they are not together. Lastly you can also try to change the room assignments while at port. They can move other people arround by movinv their catagories etc..

I've wondered the same thing as we have two catg 11 rooms.....

**I've been considering upgrading to catg 10 so we can have connecting rooms. If we do this, will we be guaranteed connecting? Because that would be the only point in upgrading....

**And to reiterate the OP question that I also wonder about .... when you have multiple rooms linked together on ressie- have you ever had only one of the rooms upgraded or do they recognize that since your ressie is linked - they upgrade both or all rooms?
