Hi!

My question is this. If I have a PS for a character breakfast at, say, Epcot, does this mean that if they close the park because of the crowds, I will get in? I will be at WDW over New Years, and am a little concerned - I'm off property.

Thanks!

I asked this question a couple years ago when I had Thanksgiving Dinner booked at the LTT, and the answer is that PS or not, you can be turned away. And I was staying on property.

Chances are in the early morning you'll be fine, especially at Epcot, but I would get there as early as possible.

KCMiller,
I asked this very same question last year for NYE. I was told that once they reach maximum capacity, that is it--you will not be allowed in (we were told this by several CM's--including the folks who were staffing the World showcase turnstiles).
Last year, we had PS for lunch at MGM and dinner at EPCOT. Also, last year Disney Dinning would only make ressies with a CC guarantee for NYE and failure to show would result in a $10.00 per person no show fee with no changes allowed 48hours prior to the ressie.
We were staying on property and when we checked in and were told that we would not be allowed into a park if it reached capacity. By that time, we were already within the 48hour no change time frame... So, we couldn't change our ressies so that we could arrive early at a park and stay there....

Our story has a happy ending...Because there was rain in the forecast, the NYE turn out at EPCOT was not as large as it had been in previous years and they didn't reach capacity when it was time for us to go to dinner.

And, on another note, I would be really surprised if EPCOT reached max capacity by breakfasttime! Maybe you could get a PS for prior to EPCOT opening just to be on the safe side (and then you would be all set to enjoy the park at opening time!)

I second Anne's recommendation.... get there early. They have a separate admission line for those with PS for the Character breakfast. It is smart during this time to make very early PS for breakfasts (preferably before the park opens), to ensure you can get in and don't get penalized for not showing up! I think I would be a bit leary of trying to make a PS in the middle of the day or evening and hopping from one park, or leaving and returning for it. I would plan on going to whatever park in which you have the PS and staying at least until you have taken eaten that meal!

Thanks so much for all your advice! It's my first trip - my children are marching in the afternoon parade with their High School band at the Magic Kingdom on 12/28, and will be at Epcot on the 31st - and I CAN'T miss either of these things!

I'm getting VERY exicted about this!

Thanks!

KC
