GTY *with restrictions* and OBB?

I'm currently scheduled to sail the May 11th TA. I don't think it's going to happen so I'm trying to be proactive. I've considered moving my booking to the May 8th 10 night Hawaii cruise. DCL is currently selling oceanview rooms GTY "with restrictions" at a more than $1000 discount over the next available GTY. Will I lose the OBB perks if I choose this category? I'm probably going to book it one way or the other because it financially makes sense, but it would be nice if I could take my OBB with me.

Yes - if it is "with restriction" then it is an OGT fare which must be a new booking. It cannot be combined with any OBB benefits.

Correct.....no OBB with a *GT booking

However, if you use a TA like Dreams Unlimited you can combine their onboard credit with a *GT booking. $50 per $1000 cruise price.
