GTY- When do we receive our room assignment and when do they mail our luggage tags?

We booked a VGT GTY for our cruise next week on the Magic- leaving May 5th.

We still do not have a our room number assigned... Does anyone know when we will get our luggage tags? I'm worried they won't be here by the day we fly out!

We are on same sailing! Also VGT, also with no stateroom assigned but we did get our luggage tags about 10 days ago. Our tags have a blank space for the room number.

When did you book your cruise?

If you don’t get luggage tags before you leave no big deal as they have more at the port that you use.

They can assign staterooms up until the day you sail, but hopefully you‘ll know earlier.

As @Clarkson U said, You do not need to be concerned about luggage tags. You can fill them out when you arrive at court and your bags will get to your state room.

We booked our cruise in December. I would definitely prefer to have the luggage tags ahead of time- it's one less thing to try to track down once we get there! I wonder if i should call DCL? It's probably not too late for them to still send to me...

I understand your concern, but you won’t need to track them down. The porters that collect your bags will have plenty.

We have not gotten luggage tags for any GTY cruise we've taken on Disney. It's never been a big deal - we just give the porter our room number and they add it to the tag at the curb. Takes 2 minutes. You don't need to track anything down.

I totally understand your desire to have everything set ahead of time, but think of it this way: It is actually easier not to have luggage tags in advance. If you have tags, you need to keep track of them during your journey and put them on the bags after your flight but before you give the bags to the porters. If you don’t have tags, you just need to tell the porters your room number, and they will take care of tagging the bags.
