GTY cabins assignment ??

I am patiently waiting for my room assignment for our March 14th cruise. I keep checking the DCL website.

For those of you that have had to keep checking for a room assignment, was it a certain time of day that they post them? Is it more in the evening or morning?

I wonder if it is computer generated or if there is a person that is sitting at a computer picking rooms to put people in? I would love to do that and sprinkle pixie dust on some people.

Anyway, Thanks.....I am trhing to be patient, but it is really hard.

Our assigned room # appeared on the Disney website at exactly the 30 day mark.

We received ours 14 days beforehand, but I have no idea of what time of day.

We received ours at the 35 day mark but late in the day - after 4pm EST.

With DCL the rule of thumb seems to be that they start posting the assignments at around the 35 day mark and continue all the way until embarkation day.

On our first booking and then the on we booked while on the first cruise we were allowed to pick our stateroom?? However we booked both times thruy Disney is it different if you book thru a different travel agent??

No different. Sometimes they offer guarantees when they are at a certain number of bookings in categories, and offer you the gty, which basically means you are guaranteed that category, or possibly higher.

We booked a GTY cabin 11 months out and we originally received our cabin assignment about 30 days out with our cruise docs. So we waited 10 months to get it. Then 2 weeks before we sailed we received some and were upgraded from a Cat 8 to a Cat 6. That news came via a voicemail on my cell phone. I should think you'd be able to find out at least 30 days out.
