I recently switched over from regular AT&T (SunCom actually) to their GSM service so I could have internet, etc on my phone.

I know that GSM phones have to have GSM towers in order to work (or that is what the sales guy told me), so I am wondering if my phone will work in the Disney World parks. I'm guessing in Orlando they have GSM towers, but wanted to make sure it would work INSIDE the World so my hubby and I can get hold of each other when we get separated in the parks. If not, then I'll need to pack the walkie talkies, which I hate.

Anyone with experience on a GSM phone, I appreciate your feedback!

I had trouble in a lot of the parks getting reception in certain areas.

Our family has GSM phones. My husband has AT&T, my daughter and I have Cingular. All of our phones worked just fine.

I have Cingular too. I had trouble in Frontierland, parts of AK, and parts of Epcot, but I don't remember where. I did not have the best reception in my room at POP.

We had ATT on our last trip and had no problems except inside some buildings.

I have AT&T GSM service also and had no problems whatsoever with reception anywhere in the parks, which was definitely a nice change of pace from the horrible reception I normally get at home.
