Welcome to my first attempt at any kind of report--ever! I'll try to keep the exclamation points down to ten per page. I kind of get carried away with all things Disney. I wasn't born this way, but I developed Disneyitis in my mid-forties in response to losing quite a big chunk of my immediate family all at once.:sad2: Now don't feel bad. That was many years ago, and I'm fine now! (Oops, there goes my second one) I have a wonderful husband and kids who have filled the void. I guess now I'll introduce you to my wonderful cast of characters for this trip:

Me: DW46--Self-proclaimed Disneyholic who when she is not at Disney is dreaming about it, planning fake trips on the official website to see how much they would cost, and then cancelling right before she gets to the credit card part. My Disney alter-ego is TINK.

DH57: Born in Florida about an hour from the Mouse House and until he married me, didn't give two flips about Disneyworld. He tolerates it "for my sake", but I know that he loves the food, and he loves the shows, and he loves watching our daughter experience it all. But when were watching TV at home :happytv: and the commercials come on, I always say, "Let's talk about Disneyworld." He looks pained and jokingly says, "Oh please, I'd rather put my eyes out with a hot poker.......ha, ha, ha. Usually, my DD8 and I will just start talking about it around him. His Disney alter-ego is GRUMPY!!

DD8: Been to the World twice at age 4 and last year at age 7, this next month will be her 3rd trip. She loves it as much as her Momma although she was very disheartened that she couldn't stay at her beloved POP this upcoming trip. Her Disney alter-ego has been ARIEL when she was little, was MULAN last year, and this year she's back to ARIEL.

Finally: DS20: He's on a mission for our church for two years and won't be home for this trip. He's excited for his Momma to be doing something that makes her happy though and will be there in spirit. We always send him postcards and stuff. :grouphug: His Disney alter-ego is JACK SPARROW. He is such a handsome kid!

We are the HOWELL family and we are LOUD!! If someone is noisy in the room next to you, it was probably us. Not really, we are like a pot that bubbles over, but then one of us realizes that we aren't at home and need to QUIET DOWN! :rolleyes1 So far, in our trips togethers we have only stayed at the "P" resorts: Polynesian in 2004, POP Century in 2006 and coming up in October 2007 at the Port Orleans Riverside. We've loved the other two. We're hoping to love POR also. As I mentioned earlier, my DD8 was devastated when she realized that I upgraded us to POR after the codes came out. I was able to explain to her that someday we would stay at the POP again, but wouldn't it be nice to stay at every resort at Disney at least once? She seemed to like that idea. Change is hard for some people. Kids too, I guess.

I've already mapped out our itinerary and gotten all our ADRs and DD8's trying BBB at the castle. She loved BBB at DD last year. We aren't doing MNSSHP this year, and she seems to be okay with that. That's all for now. Got important things to do........NOT!:laundy: :surfweb: :happytv:

You sound like a fun bunch!!!!! (hows that for ya?) I am in for start...now GO! when are your dates?

We'll be there Oct. 17-22. Flying out of Memphis which is 2 hrs from home to get cheap airfares on Airtran. So we're actually leaving home on the 16th. My dream is to someday stay for about two weeks like the British do!

We should arrive at MCO around 10:30 am on the 17th of OCT. I'm hoping that ME will get us to the resort around noonish and that we can check-in and our room WILL be ready. However, if it's not, we'll just stow our stuff at luggage services and head out. Originally, we like to swim that first day and not hit the parks but DD8 wants to see Miyuki the Candy Lady again and she's not there on Fridays which is our EPCOT day. We'll probably split one counter service at Tangerine Cafe in Morocco because the food there is to die for!! Also, they were the best kids meal chicken tenders of our entire trip last year, according to DD8. We love Arabic food. I want my husband to taste the lamb shaworma platter! It's so good. I don't want us to be too full, though because we have ADRs for Ohana's around 5:30 in the evening. So we'll hang around the WS until time to go to Ohana's.

After we eat, we'll head over to the MK to try and ride Splash Mountain and see Mickey's Philharmagic. Also, we want to see the Hall of the Presidents which is something we've never done. Then after the fireworks, we'll head back to the POR and maybe have a late night swim. Then off to sleep..........
...until the next day.

I just read all the yummy things on the FW Festival appetizers around the WS!!! Wow, we must might have to eat there for lunch on our first day there!!!:cool1:
