My father was very moderate in all his habits - one small low-alcohol lager on a weeknight, one glass of wine with his Sunday lunch - and he died at 56, very painfully, from Pancreatic cancer. So while I don't go mad I certainly don't avoid the demon drink! Vettechick, do what feels right for you (cos when you've got kids you slow down anyway - hangovers and 4am crying babies DON'T mix!)

I can't believe it took 24 pages for someone to finally say something about our drinking! Where have you been? Hitting the sauce, perhaps?

It's kinda funny because the other day a friend of mine read the report so far and said, "Gosh y'all drank a lot!". Honey if you think that's a lot, I definitely won't post my beach trip report!

All kidding aside, what you read is us on vacation. And for that matter, a vacation with a wine festival. What you don't read is us the rest of the year: 95% of our time is sober (OK I included sleeping in there). Not to mention, my report is titled Grubbin' and Boozin', not Dumbo Line Standin', Pooh Ridin', Fantasyland Walkin' and Neverending Autograph Signin'. I have 20 years of children to do those things with.

So don't fret...we don't drink 24/7. But it is fun when we do. Thanks for caring, though.

I read part of your report awhile back and thought about posting. I appreciate an adult beverage on a pretty regular basis. When I was younger, I made a game of drinking alot, and, looking back, I wish I hadn't!

Enjoy yourself. But be careful. I really am a funeral director. I see alot of folks who went overboard with the libations and are now paying the price.

Your reports are well written and entertaining. Keep them coming!
