GRRRRR - Chase!

I am soooooo mad at Chase - again.

I got a Chase Freedom card back in April. Enrolled in the 2nd quarter 5% bonus program, no problem. Well, when I tried to enroll in the 3rd quarter program, I got an error message online saying my card wasn't eligible, which made no sense. So I contracted Chase via the online "message center" and within a couple of days received a message back saying they'd enrolled me. Fabulous, problem solved.

Or was it??

Turns out, I never received the bonus points I should have based on my 3rd quarter charges. So I called the 800 number tonight, and the agent tells me I was NEVER ACTUALLY ENROLLED in the 3rd quarter program - what the heck???!!! There's not even any sort of notation on my account regarding the interaction I had with them via the message center. And of course the message center messages are automatically deleted after 90 days, so the agent says all she can do is give me a fax number to send in a complaint (there's no phone number to speak to a real person), MAYBE they'll do something about it. Yeah right.

Ughh. It's only $35 or so worth of bonus points, but I am so beyond pissed.

Crappy Chase customer service strikes again!!!!!
 
I agree, I don't understand how Chase can continue to make the mistakes they get away with.
i opened a checking account 3 months ago because I had a coupon for $150 "free" for opening an account and having direct deposit. The direct deposit had to go through within the first 2 months of opening.
The person who opened the account had me fill out the forms for direct deposit of my SSDI check. Well 3 months have gone by and the money is still being deposited into my credit union account instead of my chase account.
I went to Chase last month when I was in FL and had them check into it and they said that the forms were never mailed in for the direct deposit so she redid them and mailed them in. Last week I got the mail from SS telling me that the changes have been made and the deposits will start with Chase in December.
So I brought the letter to the Chase bank that I filled out the application with in the first place and the manager said that they can't do anything about the $150 since I didn't get the direct deposit within the 2 month time period. She didn't care that it was their mistake.
I am going to SS this week to fill out forms to change my SS back to my credit union and will then close my Chase account.
 
Their total lack of customer service and customer unfriendly rules drove me to USAA. I miss WaMu!!
