So DH brings the mail in, and as I'm sorting it, I see a postcard from Disney. My heart starts to beat a little faster. I flip it over and it instructs me that they've put together a little Disney magic especially for me, all I have to do is visit my own special link to get a vacation offer!

Oh my, can it be?? Have the great WDW gods finally blessed me with the elusive and coveted code postcard?! I may hyperventilate.

Actually, I'm delaying the action a bit. I putter around the house, savoring the anticipation of going to the website to find out what my offer is.

Finally I type it in, fingers flying across the keyboard.

What the...?!?! @#$@% Disney!!!!

It's the non-deal deal. Just how stupid do they think I am? (Don't answer that). It was your standard offer for 6 nights at a Value with plain tickets (no hopping, expire in 14 days, no water parks) for 2 adults, a junior and a child. The exact same price I can get if I go to the website any day of the week and type in the same specs.

LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME.

Why oh why do the Code Czars hate me so? It's one thing to ignore me all together, but now they're just taunting me.

I recieved one of those after Christmas. Having never recieved a pin post card, I was so excited, I soon felt a tugging sensation near my foot. I looked down to find Micky pulling my leg. :rotfl:

It had me hooked like a trout.

Maybe next time. I hope we both get one soon.

LOL! My mom got one too! I was in awe and complained how I never get one so she asked me take it home and see what the special was. It was a whole $150 off the advertised price of a value, with non-hopping tickets. Whoopy.

I've received a few emails like that. I open them thinking "Oh YES! Finally my turn!!". Scroll down a little, only to find they are offering me $1/night off the rack rate at a value. WHAT!? I feel your pain.

I agree... i got the postcard for 59.00 a night value special.. called the day i got it and there were NO rooms left for the whole month of September!! Whats up with that??? i thought i would get a little pixie dust.. but i got nothing... oh well maybe next time

I got an email and thought it was great for the special vacation deal for our family. So , I read it and found that it was a standard vacation package. A shame!!!! Frog marketing is what this is!!:guilty:

My Dad got a postcard last spring but it only had the free hopper and water park package offer that was available to everyone on the website.I was so disappointed:sad2: I had a dream the other night about getting a mailbox full of postcards from Disney; maybe it was a lucky omen.:rotfl2:

Hey, at least you guys are getting some kind of postcards. I don't think Mickey knows I exist. I've never received anything even resembling a postcard from him. The only time I've ever gotten anything is after I go ahead and bite the bullet and book. Then I get just the confirmation envelope everyone else gets. I made numerous calls earlier this year trying to get that infamous 40% off code for my Dec '07 trip. My dates fell within the date ranges, but I was denied everytime.

Life isn't always fair is it? However, I have faith our time will come (and when it does, you better believe Mickey will hear me sqealing all the way from Texas to Florida)!

It's possible that people who aren't in the know, like us Dis-ers, actually fall for it, and think it is a deal...and Disney is banking (pun intended) on that!!

I never get anything either, with six trips under my belt you would think they would throw some love my way. Maybe it's because they know I'll go anyway. Maybe it's a Texas conspiracy. Maybe they want to encourage us to go to the new Disney park in North Texas.

Huh! What new Disney park? I live about 20 miles east of Dallas and haven't heard anything about a new Disney park around here. As Arnold used to say, 'Whatchu talking about Willis?'

You have to go to the rumors board. There has been talk for sometime of a park in Texas. I think it's hogwash but many people seem to think it will happen one day.
