So, we went and purchased a few of the 8x6 prints on the Disney Wonder thinking I can get frames for them when we get home -- WRONG.

Where can you buy frames for the 8x6 prints that are sold on the DCL ships? ANyone have an online source?

This topic has been tossed around many times - and it is frustrating. Some people have found the frames at craft stores like Michaels, others have purchased larger frames (8x10) and then used a 6x8 matte to "make them fit".

What we ended up doing on some of our pictures (and this is really hard to do emotionally::yes:: ) is to cut (ouch) the pictures down to fit in a 5x7 frame. You usually don't loose anything by doing this and sometimes even "enhance" the photo by getting rid of some of the excess background. As an added benefit - the frames are much cheeper than any 6x8 or 8x10 frames you will find - and there is a great selection to choose from.

Wolf Camera/Ritz Camera generally carries both frames and albums in this size.

I've seen them at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I've also bought the 8 X 10 floating frames from Target and those also work well.

I also found one at Kohl's. I also did cut down one to fit in a 5X7 frame and it looks great.

Found 6 x 8 frames at Tuesday Morning! Good luck!

Found a 9x12 frame at michaels and they also had a mat to mat 9x12 to 6x8.

I haven't seen them anywhere, and I've looked at many of the suggested stores. I second your "grrrrrr".

When I bought my new printer, it lists the photo sizes it prints, and apparently, 6 x 8 is not a normal US size. I guess that's why it's so hard to find frames.

I found the 6x8 frames this weekend at Boscov's. The had lots of different ones. Maybe I was just lucky because I wasn't even looking for them.

Does anyone know of an *online* place to get them?

One other suggestion...I just took all our 6x8's from our honeymoon cruise and used a Kodak picture center to print new photos that are 5x7's. They have the Kodak booths at many locations, I've seen them at Sam's Club and WalMart, as well as many photo shops. Anyway, you just scan the 6x8 and re-print the photos as 5x7's, I think I got two 5x7's per sheet for like $4.25 at Sam's Club. :wizard:

I just bought an 8x10 frame with a 5x7 mat from Target. I didn't even have to cut the picture. I taped the picture on the back of the mat and arranged it to how I wanted it to look on the frame.

After searching and searching, the only place I could find them at was Ritz camera in the mall. My only complaint is that they did not have matching 8x10 frames.
