Grrr .. angry at VMK

Sorry but I so need to vent. I was so happy this week when I won best guest room. I have worked over a year at trying to win so I could finally be able to own my own Haunted Mansion room. When I got my prizes I noticed I got the Pirate Cannon room, np I figured a simple mix up and they would help me straighten it out.. how wrong I was. I was just told by HOST_Bella that they forgot to update the page and put that the Pirate Cannon room was prize for all Best Room winners and not the Mansion room as it is stated.

I am so fustrated at VMK for this.

Sorry if you feel I am whining but I was not in it to win a pin, the pitiful amount of credits they give, or the party. The party I wanted to win for my kids so that they could invite their friends and have a fun night in a room they would probably never be invited too. The credits are a joke, I spend at least 20-50 grand per room to build them, 2 grand doesnt even begin to cover that. The one prize I had really really wanted was that room and thanks VMK for taking that away. Sorry but they should have honored what they wrote up as the list of prizes (fat chance at them honoring anything they write, I know). Maybe the other prize winners are thrilled to get that room but I already have a few of those rooms. I am not thrilled at all...

You should write to them saying you want a refund/switch for the room. Thats VERY unfair.

And if they dont, then that is just mean.

Most of VMK's prizes aren't that great..
Your room and everyone else's should have gotten so much more..

It definitely wouldnt hurt to write them, and a link to that picture showing their comment. As much as people will point out the gingerbread house fiasco, this is pretty black and white when referring to that picture right there.

I was in the room as well when HOST_Bella told you that Forever. So upsetting.

Also, I would like you to get a mansion room, but it probably won't happen. As the notice says at the bottom of the awards page.

I really hope you get the HM Room! Write them incessantly. The Gingerbread competition was one thing (which I expected from the prizes), but you should seriously get that HM Room.

I can understand why you would be so upset. I don't have an "Original" Haunted Mansion Room and would be jumping up and down to see that I won 1, but actually didn't.

I agree with everyone and you should write to them. It's not completely fair that they forgot to update the Website.

This happened to someone last pirate month, they didn't get the mansion room but they appologized.

I'm sorry that they have changed the 1 part of the prize that you wanted and I think it's wrong that they don't have the correct prize on the homepage; however, as we learned from the gingerbread contest, what they meant as the prize seems to be what they give.

For whatever it's worth, I think that you should wear your pin with pride and be thrilled to have the recognition of a project you worked on so much that so many of us never get.

Well when I won I got a tent room, so there is always a upside . But if VMK plans on changing the prizes, they are updating the winners anyway, how hard is it to change the prize? I think the prizes do need a face-lift, same prizes for this long. But VMK should give you the HM room, will they? Probably not. Did VMK change the prize yet? No.

In short, it was a MAJOR typo from VMK.

They listed several items under "participation prizes" but intended for them to be given to only winners and runners-up. They later fixed the typo and the participants in the contest went bazerk.
