AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!

OK, I got up at some horrible hour (YES, 7am is bad for me...I work nights & have only about 3 hours of sleep by then!) to make my ADR for breakfast with Cinderella today. I called at 7 and got put on hold. After holding for many minutes, the call DISCONNECTED! I was soooo ticked! So I call back on both my cell AND home phones to avoid the problem happening again. Once again I wait. By the time I get through (not even 10 after 7) ALL the breakfast ADR's are GONE GONE GONE! :furious: I was very sad about this, but stuck my tail between my legs & inquired about lunch. They only had 2 slots left for lunch, so I took one. I SOOOO wanted to start my daughter's first trip to Disney with a meal with Cinderella. Oh well, guess I should be grateful I at least got in on lunch. But I'm still ticked. December isn't supposed to be super busy at the beginning of the month! What is up? *sigh* And I gotta do it all over again later this week for an appointment at the BBB for my daughter. Already super grumpy on one night of almost no sleep......hubby better not even BREATHE at me funny after the next one....

BREAKING NEWS........

Disney crazed mom desperate for ADR's goes Cruella DeVil on husband after comments like 'it's JUST breakfast' and 'why didn't you get up earlier to call?'. Husband stuffed into small dog cage & threatened to be made into coat. Rescuers find Milk Bones stuffed up his nose, and cryptic message 1-407-WDW-DINE tattooed on his forehead.....more at 11......

Did you call at 180 days out exactly? Or was it part of the plus 10 part of your trip?

FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY............I understand though....Some people don't get it do they???

Sorry you couldn't get CRT for breakfast-it wasn't me-we've never eaten there. Have you considered Park Faire at GF for dinner? We :lovestruc it! It's our favorite buffet and Cinderella and Prince Charming are there. Maybe you can get in there? It's only a short hop on the monorail from MK.

Wasn't me either. I have boys who wouldn't be caught dead there! :rotfl:

FWIW, the first week of December is Pop Warner week & I think Mousefest (although Mousefest people might be on the DCL first then the parks).

Also, think of how many other thousands of mom's were doing the exact same thing at the exact same time & how many phone agents there are to take the calls & how many the restaurant can take for a breakfast shift.

Sorry you were disappointed. If it means that much I would keep trying back. You never know when you might catch a cancellation.

We had me, my MIL and my DH calling for 6 days before I finally got one. Are you really as mad as those faces look? I would assume you knew this was a hard ADR to get.

When we went the only princess meal in the castle was breakfast. It was fun but not the be all, end all of our trip.

We did the same thing several years ago.. we had 4 people calling on regular phones and cell phones for 7 days.. then I got thru and got the ADR for breakfast. It was nice and memorable but now that they have lunch and dinner I would do those instead. In fact.. that is what we are doing.. eating at Cindy's for lunch and DD is so excited about it. :cloud9:
Try calling back a few times ( or several times) to see about cancellations. I know that many people do the "6 people tried to get a ressie" and sometimes.. 6 people do get ressies so 5 of those have to be cancelled once everyone decides which one they want to keep.

When are you going? Maybe if someone here cancels they can let you know first???

I only suggest that because I have ADR's for CRT and I think I might cancel. My son is almost 12 and is " so over" the princess thing. ( I however, am not :goodvibes ) Anyway, we ate there once for dinner, and Imo it's not worth me using 4 TS credits.

The only reason I am still debating is that we will get into the park before opening and I want to take pictures in front of the castle without anyone else in them. Is that worth 4 TS credits? I can't decide.

Anyway, Good luck.....

Today is exactly 180 days out, and I have to call daily because we are staying off site. It isn't the end of my world, but since this is only my 2nd ever trip to Disney and my kids first, I was kinda hoping everthing would fall into place. My daughter is ALL about eating AT the castle. The princesses are really secondary for her....she wants the castle. I knew that ADR was popular, but I had no idea that it would sell out that fast in DECEMBER. :crazy2: As I said, the last time I was at MK, I was 7 ( a looooooong time ago!) :rolleyes1 and no one else I know has been recently, so all my info comes from here & other Disney chat boards. As I said, I knew it was popular, but GEEZ! If ANYONE is thinking about cancelling their reservations PLEASE could you give me a heads up? :chat: I would REALLLLLLY appreciate it. (December 3rd will be our 1st day at the park, and the day I was hoping to get in at breakfast at the castle) I also will NOT be slacking on the BBB reservation, and I was thinking about the Lilo & Stitch meal too, so at least now I know what I am in for.

With the new plus 10, some reservations are released prior so they aren't starting with a "clean slate" at the 180 day mark anymore. That makes it more difficult, as you found!

Lunch or dinner will be just as magical and a cool exp - remember, if someone has never had breakfast there they don't know what they're missing. Or as long as they haven't read disney message boards to hear how coveted the spot is they won't miss it LOL! Your daughter will LOVE dining there regardless of whether it's breakfast lunch or dinner.

Keep trying! Book something for lunch or dinner and keep calling back. People do cancel often! Good luck!

I feel your pain. I was so excited to call on my 180 days. Couldn't wait to tell my DD8 that we were going to have breakfast at the castle. Yet somehow I missed the information about the +10 days so I called and got right through and breakfast and lunch was already sold out for our entire trip. We got dinner. I'm not all that excited about dinner but I guess at least we will get to eat in the castle. I'm kind of mad at our travel agent. Aren't they supposed to know these things and tell us? Of course, our TA isn't all there. When I heard about the free dining I called her and she said "oh, yeah. I did hear something about that. I forgot". WHAT?! Next time I'm booking directly through Disney. Anyway, I plan to call back a lot to try to get that breakfat. I'm not holding my breath, but I am crossing my fingers.

Keep trying!!! I got ADR's for the breakfast on 8/31/06 ... booked that day but kept trying back ... I REALLY wanted 8/30 ... well, weeks later they had SEVERAL tables open at different times for the exact day we wanted!! Go figure, don't care why, but I'm glad I kept trying for the desired day ... MK day before park opening!!

180 + 10 *** on-site guests can book 180 days in advance of their check-in date and make reservations for the entire trip ... up to 10 days!! I hope I explained that right!! :goodvibes

Here are my girls in May 2005 on our way to Cindy's:

Keep trying, you'll get it!!! :cheer2:

Wow disneyfreakjackie!! The picture alone is worth all the hassle. I'm going to have to re-think my ADRs...

Oh and acornell2 I assume BBB stands for the bibbidi bobbidi boutique.... I missed calling on the exact date I needed (11/30), called 2 full days later and had a wide open slate of time that I could choose from. Not quite sure this is as hard to get as CRT. Good Luck with everything though.

Nope not me either ! But don't give up keep calling !When we were there in January,( on a whime) I called the night before from our room just to see if by chance there was an opening(knowing very well that it was very popular and the chance of getting one would be almost impossible)But to my unexpected surprise they said yes they had an opening(Talk about luck!!!) :sunny:

I have discovered I know more than my TA aobut disney and will be calling and making our reservations for our 2007 trip. I have discovered that I hate the TA thing because If I call to ask a question at disney they tell me my TA has to call since it was done thru a TA. Not worth the hassle

Would your ds consent to eating with Pooh and friends? You could do Crystal Palace buffet before park opening for only 1 TS each.

Don't give up! An earlier poster had a similar experience to mine. When I called a couple of weeks ago to make an adjustment in my ADR's for August, the CM noticed that our daughters were 8 & 6 and tipped me that there may be availability for CRT for breakfast the morning in question. Not only was there availability but I had my choice of two time slots. You never know! Good Luck!
