Group rates on southwest??

We will be flying with a party of 10 in May, and I noticed there are special rates for groups of 10 or more ( you have to call the airline directly). Anyone know how much of a "discount" we could get? I'm thinking we would still probably be better off waiting for a ding, and then book them all together. Anyone know??

Even if you do get a Ding (and there's no guarantee that you will), you may very well not be able to book ten people at that price. It can't hurt to call and see what the group rate would be - if you don't like it, don't book it. But remember that with SW, if the fare does go down, there's no change fee to rebook at the lower fare, and you get the difference as a SW credit.

The group plan will allow you to make reservation changes easily if needed, you only have to pay a deposit at first, and balance due closer to flight time. Someone had mentioned something about assigned seating, but I think maybe that was supposed to mean more 1 boarding group since it would be just one big confirmation number. If you are strictly looking for the best rates, the group probably wont give you that.
