Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a group rate?? We are thinking about 2005 cruise and have several other family members interested also. Last count 8 or 9 cabins.

Thanks for any help!!

E, 8 cabins should qualify you as a group, but I've heard there aren't many perks associated with DCL's groups. In the last thread about groups, someone mentioned that groups only get $100 discount per cabin. It ain't much, but atleast it's something. I'd call DCL direct and ask.

Hi Ethelina-
We just got our group rates today for our Dec. 2005 land/sea package. DMS is correct, it was about $100 off the lowest prices we found in most categories, $50 in some cats.
We booked through AAA, and have a very attentive agent (Wisconsin), we also are getting shipboard credit from AAA for booking, every little bit adds up.
Sample of rates, family of four, with two children under age 12:
CAT:

6- $3487.40

8- $3027.40

9- $2902.40

10-$2702.40

11-$2627.40

You are welcome to join us!!

Another amenity is a choice of several items for each stateroom. When I booked our group I chose the memory boxes for each family and they were thrilled! Also, they will assign your tables in advance and are most helpful and making sure each family is seated with whomever they choose. It worked out extremely well for us. Have a great cruise!

I haven't had a chance to all yet....but this will help. Every little bit does count or the memory book sounds neat also!! Now I wonder if we should charter a bus to drive us down?? Hahah

Thanks Again,
E:wave2:
