Should we buy tickets ahead of time or at the gate? It's Funai Classic weekend.

Would it be wierd if we (group of 5) got dressed up even though we're adults? Is there costume judging? I'd like to see it if there is!

Do all the rides stay open?

Is there trick-or-treating? For the young and the young at heart? Or just the young?

Special parades or attraction decorations (like HM in DL)?

Any tips we should know?

Thanks so much!!
xoxo

My DD and I have gone to the last 4 or 5 MNSSHP's so let me see if I can answer your questions.

I'd buy tickets ahead of time. Some dates do sell out and not just on Halloween itself.

We dress up every year. There are lots of adults who dress up. Guaranteed, there will be an adult "Woody and Jessie" or "Aladin and Jasmine" and, lest I forget, the 2 or 3 men dressed up as Snow White.

As far as I know, there's no costume judging.

Yes, all the rides are open.

There is trick-or-treating and I'm sure there are some adults who do it, but I don't.

There is a special parade ( 2 per night, but I'm not sure of the times), and there's fog and special lighting everywhere. It really is beautiful.

Nothing I can think of off-hand, but do try to make HM your last attraction of the night. There's a special zing about being on HM with few other people and, when you leave HM, it's dark, foggy, and really, really spooky.

Y'er welcome and have fun.

Hope this helps.

Thanks I was wanting to ask the same thing, we are going for our 1st time 10-02. We bought tickets ahead of time, they are discounted if you do. Also any special things to know for a 5 yr old girl? Thanks :sunny:

Make sure that you get your FREE (yes, something is free in the World!!) photo taken (they will mail it to you in about a week.

Make sure you trick or treat! Its so much fun even for us older kids!

A tip that we've used for MNSSHP and MVMCP: Dont watch the first parade, thats when everyone else will be. RIDE RIDE and RIDE during the first parade.

The Hallowishes are WONDERFUL!! My dad who doesnt like to watch parades and fireworks, actually sat down and video taped it, they were great!

Remember that its still pretty hot in early October, dont wear heavy (hot) costumes, or you will be uncomfortable and sometimes hard to get on the rides.

If you have any more questions, let me know!

Dressing up is fun and enjoyable at Disney! Think outside the box to get lots of reactions. Hubby was Indiana Jones and I was Bride from Haunted Mansion. One of my girlies was a princess, Belle and the other was so not a princess, Tink.

Dinner ressies at a restaurant, if you can get them, for transition time 6:00 - 7:00 pm is a good idea. (Park closes at 6:00pm and all guests without tickets are asked to leave - guests with tickets (wristbands) are coralled into one land until 7:00pm when MNSSHP offically opens.

Yes! You can get candy (trick or treat) and it was encouraged when we were there...grandpa too! They have LOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Tip: Plan to go to the park as early as your tickets will allow. This was 4:00pm when we went last year. This way you do not have to use one of your park day passes for this day, and you still get 8 hrs in the park b/c park is open until 12:00pm for the party.
We used that day to do other things like Downtown Disney, swim, relax, nap
before the big night instead of going to a park thus allowing us to "save" a day on our passes and extend our park fun ie, having a 7-day pass but esentially allowing us to go to the parks for 8 days. Plus it's cheaper than a regular day pass ticket!!!
