Group ideas for Eat around the World swap in March

I'm hosting an eat around the world swap with signups in about a month for WDW restaurants and I wanted to get some opinions on group layouts. I prefer to do element swaps so it will probably be 2 elements per group and I'll keep it to groups of 6. I definitely want to have some character meal groups and for those I'll may set up a list of choices for each group to eliminate duplicates. For the other restaurants - I'm not sure how to group them - should I do by location - one for each park, then resort groups to combine? OR should I mix them up or make all general groups? 123SA made a great suggestion to also include snacks - like mickey ice cream, popcorn, etc. which I love.

So I'm open to ideas....anyone?
 
snacks, yes! great idea.

I would go by park, that way if you are Nancy (LOL) and have never been to MGM you wouldn't have MGM stuff that you can't use. And mix in Counter service and table.

Hey! I'm gonna get there... I just didn't think my kids would like it... so I'm a nut.. I admit..but we will get there!!!!
 
I'm excited about this!! I LOVE food! Gotta keep my eyes open for sign-ups! :)
 

I agree- groups by park and then resorts- if you wanted to divide up the resort groups you could do them by area- MK resorts, Epcot resorts, AK resorts, or you could do them by the class of resorts although the value resorts only have food courts.

I like the idea of a snacks group.

I agree the by park makes the most sense. But the character meals will be separate? We do almost all character meals, so for me it would mean less groups if they were together.
 
I'd love for it to be one element so I could sign up for more groups but totally see how two elements might be what others would prefer too...will be on the lookout for signups for this one as eating around the "world" is one of our favorite things to do!

I already have things for the character meals so if you did them seperately I can do more of the other groups- which I need.

I would have groups of just character meals as we do those as well and even if we don't do a particular character meal we can likely fit elements into other character pictures.

I'm thinking........

Character meal group

MK Eats group

MGM/DHS Eats group

Epcot Eats group

AK Eats group

Snack Eats group

Resorts Eats group -here is where I'm most stumped on grouping....

and then add more if needed for each of them?

After reading Susan's poll thread, I think maybe the short 2 elements might make sense - and I think this is closer to what I did for the Seaworld/UO swap - one photo mat was one element, one large tag or two small was one element.
 
Ok ladies - unless someone on the west coast has an objection I was thinking of opening this around 10 am tomorrow. I have all the groups ready so I could do it any time but I want the west coasters to have it at a reasonable time (and I think it won't be the middle of the night if ms Mazda is joining us):)

Ugh! I'll be on the road heading my ILs. I won't be back by a computer until the afternoon. :sad:
 
Bummer - I have to take DS to his gym class at that time! I hope there are still some spots left when I get home. I've been waiting for this one - we are WDW food junkies! :)
 
7am for me on my day off...hmmmmmmmmmmm ok I will set the alarm..lol.. i need snack ones..
 
I am starting with groups of 6 and will add extras if we need them and I'll do what I can to get everyone in.

For those thinking about it - I have 2 groups for character meals to start, then one for each park, one for snacks, one for DL if anyone is interested (I don't want to discriminate:)) and then resorts and downtown disney groups.

I'm so happy there is so much interest in this!
 
Because i've been up for an hour and my eyes are tired:surfweb: i "think" it's almost 10 on the east coast, isn't it? is anyone awake out there..lol
