We're leaving in 21 days for our next trip, not that that has a thing to do with my question, just thought I'd throw that out there. :lmao:

I'm trying to help my daughter's dance teacher plan a trip to Disney next March and we took a bus a few years ago when we did this, (20+ hours), and no one is real thrilled about doing that again. When I'm planning our personal trips I stalk the airlines until I get a reasonable price and then book. But this trip could be as many as 50-60 people, so I'm not sure where to start. Anyone have any experience with something like that? Is my best bet just to start contacting the airlines individually for a group rate? HELP, please!!

You obviously won't be able to book this online or anything like that. Most airlines have a group booking (for 9 or more people in most cases) number that you should call to start pricing out your group's flights. The prices you are given aren't likely to match the website's anyway. :)

You will need to call each airline or get yourself a good travel agent.

We have used JetBlue for two large groups. First one was for over 40 people second one for 30 people. They were the cheapest and great to work with. You only needed a $50 deposit for each seat. You didn't need the names or the final payment until 30 days before the flight. There was also no cancelation fee because we had to drop one and they just credited the $50 deposit to another person. We paid about $150 round trip.

Thanks everyone...we have several "bids" out there now, Delta, United, AA, etc. So we'll see what they come back with.
Unfortunately Jet Blue doesn't service out of anywhere even remotely close to us. :(
