No we weren’t actually at Disney World on Groundhog Day but if you follow along, you’ll come to understand why it felt like it!

This was our family’s fifth trip to Disney in five years. We did take a trip with Alex when he was a baby but I’m not counting that one since he doesn’t remember it. Our first was a brief trip with Tim’s brother’s family in March 2006. We returned in October 2007 and got to enjoy the fall decorations & MNSSHP. In April 2009 we decided to try on-site and stayed at CBR – there were pros & cons but the main thing we figured out is that we need more space than a standard hotel room. In April 2010 we returned to condo living staying at Sheraton Vistana Resort for the first time and loved it, which is why we returned to Vistana during our February school vacation this year. We were in Florida from 2/24 – 3/6, arriving at Vistana on 2/27. We’ve been lucky enough to see the Flower & Garden Festival on four of our five trips. Plus I also snuck in a weekend trip with my mom in March 2008, seeing the festival again.

So who are we?

This is me:

I’m Amy, a 37 year old stay-at-home mom, part-time bookkeeper & full-time volunteer. I’ve been lucky enough to take two trips without my family during the year of my AP. I stayed at BWI with my friend Laura the last weekend of September and joined the Spectrum Moms at Kidani in January.

This is my DH:

Tim is a 37 year old Software Engineer. I think he’s starting to come around to the Disney way of thinking. I’ll have more to share about that later. ;)

Our two boys:

Alex is a ten year old (Disney adult :headache:) fourth grader who LOVES visiting Disney. Alex also loves sports – soccer & basketball are his favorites. Alex faces & has overcome some extra challenges as he has autism. He was diagnosed with PDD-NOS at the age of two.

Zach:

Zach is a seven year old first grader who also LOVES Disney! Zach is an orange belt in karate and loves art. Zach also faces & has overcome some challenges as he too has autism. He was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome just last summer.

If you want to read more about my family & our Disney adventures, I’ve written several other PTR/TRs and the links are in my signature.

Sorry for the giant pictures... I set up a new photobucket account and didn't adjust the settings before I started importing. The next update will be huge too but they'll eventually get smaller.
