We are staying in a 2 bedroom villa (renting DVC points) and was going to request a ground floor room (knowing that's not a guarantee).
Looking for info on whether ground floor rooms int the DVC building have patios and if so, do they have chairs/tables?
Also- would rooms on the ground floor poolside open to a walkway.

Yes they have patios. All have chairs. Some or all have small tables. For pool view ground floor rooms there is usually a little bit of landscaping to encourage you not to walk over it, but many do anyway.

Case in point. Hope you like company 😂

Also just a reminder that you can't make requests directly to Disney if renting points. The person your are renting points or if using a company, they will need to have the points owner contact Member Services at DVC to make any requests.

But if you do this, remember that you cannot lock the patio door from the outside. So if you want the patio door locked, someone has to either be staying in the room, or staying in the room after the people who go out the patio door so that this person can lock the patio door behind them and then go out the room's regular door.

This map of BCV ground floor rooms might help. (Reminder that you can click on the link even if it looks like it is still loading.)

Yes they have patios and they have the same patio furniture as any room with a balcony. It should be chairs and a table at each patio and you'll probably have 2 patios off a 2BR. Might somehow luck into 3 but that's a bit odd for BCV in our experience.

I think more of the ground floor villas do have shrubbery surrounding them than don't have it. And you don't want to walk through it because it is tight. And you damage the shrubs by walking through them. Said as the mother of a former gardener at WDW.
