In a word, DON'T! What a dump! Our room was very, very tiny. It was dirty. The pool looks a LOT better in the pictures then in real life. The food in the restaurant was awful, I don't know how you can mess up scrambled eggs, but even DS, who will eat anything hated them. We got an ok rate and wanted to be close to DTD for our first night, but YUCK! Never again! This was probably the worst hotel room we have ever had, including some of those 10 room, roadside motels you come across (we had to stay in one during a blizzard in a town of about 200 people-this was nicer then our room at the Grosvenor).

So...you're saying you liked the AKL better...? Thanks for the "heads up." We have a first nighter too, and I was going to look into the Grovesnor. Have stayed at the Hilton and Wyndom and liked both of them well enough. Esp. at a great rate!

Sorry about your experience at the Grosvenor..... Did you get a room in the Courtyard or the Tower?? We had a tower room and thought it was really large; even had an extra bed in it for families to stay although it was just the 2 of us. We loved the fireworks view, the customer service, the food, the rates, and the proximity to DTD.

Once again, sorry for your stay there..... This is actually the place we will return to and my SO has stayed at several Disney resorts in the past. We will only stay in the Tower though.
