Grosvenor Resort

Hi Guys,
I was checking on rates for 2 night when we will not be in a Disney Resort, and I found this Resort for $71 (after taxes and fees).

Is this hotel good? Is that a good price?

We went in Dec 2004 and stayed here for 5 nights. It was a last minute vacation (booked trip and hotel 24 hours in advance) so we got one of the very last rooms. It was not part of the main hotel but a ground level by the pool and laundry rooms. The lobby looks nice, but the room we had was a little dumpy. There was nothing very glamourous about it. It was very cramped and we only had 2 double beds (there were 5 of us so it wasn't too comfy). With the rate you got, it's probably most likely you're going to get one of these types of rooms. The location wasn't bad, as it was only a few blocks from Downtown Disney and they do have a couple character breakfasts each week (we didn't go to any of them). But unless you had a room in the main tower (and I'm not sure what those rooms are like) I wouldn't go back there to stay.

See my rating below for the Gross-venor. We paid $55 and it was too much !!! I just got back from POP and paid $84, not much more than your rate.

I would keep looking ! Check out the suggestions on w.mousesavers.com. Sometimes some good rates at the other DTD hotels.

We were at a family get together today. My DH's nephew's family is leaving for FL on Friday. His wife was telling me about the great rate she got at the Grosvenor ($79).

Since they're leaving so soon, I just kept my mouth shut. I knew that it gets awful reviews, but I didn't want to put a damper on their trip (She's already worrying, because people keep telling her that she's going to regret taking her 2 year old. I told her my DD went at 10 months the first time and did fine.)

I will mention to her to request a tower room (as someone on here suggested).

i would avoid it. there seem to be more bad reviews than good ones!
