OK, here is my question... I have heard from many people that Florida water tastes gross ... what I'm wondering is ... does a Brita Pitcher work to correct this? I'm trying to figure out if I can bring one instead of bringing so much bottled water.

I haven't done it myself but I have read many posts that say yes a Brita works.

The tap water that you are served at WDW is filtered so it doesn't have that bad taste. Another way around it is to order a case of bottled water and have it delivered to the resort. We use Costco.com and it's $7 for a case of 24.

I have done it and yes it does. I keep my pitcher in my owners locker. The only think I don't know is if my filter will work again when I go down. For the amount of water we drink it is worth it.

Here's another tip for those who won't be bringing a Brita pitcher with them. If your hotel room provides a pitcher for you, simply fill it with cold water and place it in the refrigerator overnight. This allows the sulfur to dissipate from the water. The next morning the water won't smell/taste so bad.

Floridian here, I agree tap H20 tastes horrible, but then again I thought that all my life in NY too. DH drinks it by the gallons :confused3 anyway, those Crystal Light (and other brand) packets to go :thumbsup2

Where in NY?? I live on Long Island and love the water. I also own a house in Sullivan county and that's some of the best water.

AMEN!!...We love our NYC tap water baby!...So good, you could eat it with a fork!

...that aside...I bring a Brita for making tea, but drink bottled out there. BTW, in South Beach there's a bagel shop that imports water from NY to make 'em come out right because their water is too soft!
