Groomsman Gifts?

In desperate need of some ideas/help with what to buy for my Groomsman gifts? Long story short I received the gifts I purchased yesterday and I'm not happy with them. Our wedding is Saturday so ordering online is basically not an option. Flasks, cuff links, and beer are the only items I'm opposed with. So please fire at will with suggestions, my budget is roughly $25-$50 per item.

Thanks

Haven't read all the other posts...but my two cents....

One of the favs I have ever received is a swiss army knife. One that would certainly fit in your budget.... I still have it and still use it. It always makes me think of my friend who gave it to me.

My husband got his groomsmen nice flashlights with their initials engraved on them. What guy can't use a flashlight? They all loved them.

DH received a Mickey watch for one wedding- all wore Mickey ears for wedding pics- very cute. The last wedding he got a stainless steel grilling set- with the brush, fork knife and what not. He absolutely loves it. The best part is that it doesn't rust when he forgets to put it away and it gets rained on.

Love Love Love the tennis shoe idea ! Those rental shoes have to be uncomfortable :cool1:

Pay for part of their tux rental! Everybody will appreciate that, no matter their tastes, hobbies, or income bracket. If not, then definitely stick to useful. I liked the personalized flash drive idea.

Flashlights
Grill sets
coolers
knives
auto spa certificate
umbrella chairs with favorite team logo or colors

We got married ten years ago and gave igloo coolers and umbrella lawn chairs to the brides and grooms...still get compliments on that one. (The umbrella lawn chairs at the time were "in".)

I love the cooler idea - even filled with their favorite soda. Or that and the car wash certificate. Oh, the big metal flashligths, I can't think of the name of them (have them at Lowe's - about $30) DH got one of those too one time. Great gift!

Great ideas here!

When we got married 20 years ago Dh gave his groomsmen Black Reebox which they wore for the ceremony and the reception.
Donna

DS has been in lots of weddings. The best gift he's ever gotten is designer sunglasses. All the groomsmen got the same ones and wore them to the wedding...made for some great pics!

This wouldn't work for you wince they have to be ordered but for anyone lurking- we gave out these and chose each one based on the guy's tastes. They seemed to really like them and I have seen them in their houses!

What about gift cards of some type.

Seriously all of those "cute" items are cute, but they truly don't get used--a flask--really? Engraved mugs--sitting collecting dust--Money clip--most carry a wallet. Cuff links--I know waaayy too many men who wouldn't even know what they were let alone how to use them!

Get something they'll use and appreciate--I love the grilling kit/tool idea! Sunglasses--cool idea too!

I gave my groomsmen basic yellow Garmin etrexes.

Omaha Steak Gift Card...that's what DH got

We've not used it yet, but only because he can't decide on which package to order.

If your guys are a little geeky, flash drives or engraved mice could be nice.

I have to respectfully disagree with the engraved mugs... i know a LOT of guys that drink their beer out of them. If not a mug, then a pilsner.

we gave our guys fancy game sets - darts, checkers etc. they all seemed to like them!

This may be a little late as its Thursday night already but 12 years ago we gave our groomsmen magazine subscriptions. It was relatively inexpensive, easy to acquire quickly, easy to customize and well-appreciated by all. Go to your local bookstore and pick up the latest edition of their favorites, pull a subscription card to mail out (or do on-line), roll it up, wrap it and use a pretty or funny ribbon. We also gave our groomsmen brand new, black socks because its just been too common an occurance that my husband or one of the other guys doesn't have black socks and they end up running around that morning!!!! Its one of my wedding pet peeves.

Good luck, enjoy yourself and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

How about a money clip? My DH did Simpsons cuff links for our wedding, and I think my brother gave cross pens with the guys' names on them.
In jumping on the PP and pocket knives, what about something like a leatherman or swiss army card? I think pocket knives are a good idea too!

I second the money clip. We each got one with our initials engraved on it.

Boy. The OP hasn't been back to tell us what he decided. Must be too busy getting ready for a wedding or something... :rotfl:

Haha I'm sorry to leave everyone with a cliff hanger yesterday but I was worried about revealing info due to my best man (brother) being a member of the boards. I promise ill report back later today as ill be giving them out this evening.

Thanks again for everyone's help.
