Hating being at work right now---

What did your dh/df plan on or did get his groomsman as a wedding gift?

Hi. This was not Dh's, but on a tv Wedding show, the groom gave all his men exspensive hockey sticks. They all played hockey and they loved them.

and they really liked them. My DF has a bestman (his 20 year old son) and two other guys. We got them all the Disney duffel bag from the Disney shopping website. We got them the red bag with Mickey on it and their names put on them http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...&productId=1211548&langId=-1&categoryId=36515

We also got them this watch from the Disney website http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...&productId=1151223&langId=-1&categoryId=36521
with Mickey on the front, a black band and we had their names put on the.

We got them each a Disney polo shirt (different ones) and a Disney mug.

I had also put together a folder with info on the resort they will be staying in, transportation informtion and wedding day info and a time schedule.

We will be taking our bridal party out to breakfast at Cape May Cafe after our rehearsal.

Though it's not a Disney wedding, I still wanted to share! We only have two (best man and a groomsman) and he got the boys Fossil watches from their favorite sports team - Michigan and Ohio State! Should be interesting when they open those! (Got to love rival teams...)

We gave them wallets with their initials engraved on them. They really liked them and immediately transfered their stuff from their old wallets into them. :rotfl:

Park passes ... seems to be the most logical, plus he is taking them out for steak dinners at the Yachtsman while us ladies do our thing!

Our groomsmen ranged in age so much, plus since they had all the travel expense. DH just decided to put money towards their tuxes. I bought all my bridesmaids actual gifts, but the guys liked the monetary gift. DH actually paid the tux shop directly, so the groomsmen didn't have to worry about it at all. I don't think most men (at least our crowd) are that sentimental ;)

As a Michigan graduate I had to say "Go Blue!" My DH lived in Ohio for a while and the Buckeyes were relentless in their torture of his maize and blue blood :rotfl:

Do you have a pic?

Let's see...I've been a groomsman in 3 weddings now.

First wedding, i got an engraved hip flask.
Next one, I got a monogrammed travel humidor stocked with 4 cigars
Most recently, i got a nice Cross pen embossed with my last name, as well as a monogrammed metal cigar tube with a smoke inside.

For our wedding, I'm still torn. I'm thinking about either a lighter or a waiter's corkscrew....in case you can't tell, my crew loves to drink and smoke cigars. I also ran across some really nice cocktail shakers.

Other things i've seen are pocket watches, money-clips, and cuff-links. I'd recommend steering you (or your future husbands) away from those idea. Pocket watches aren't something most guys would use on a regular basis, money clips are a personal preference, and aside from guys that wear french cuffs, most men will rarely have a need for cuff-links.

www.elighters.com has some good gift ideas...much more than just lighters :)

We are giving our groomsmen fossil front pocket wallets (apparently great for going to the clubs!!), a cigar tube with cigars (from nationalhumidor.com) and we purchased their ties for the ceremony (BCBG). I wanted to get them the brown Grumpy jackets (so cute!) but DF didn't know how "in to" Disney they were. Bummer!

My husband gave his best man aka his brother an ipod. He was our only groomsan since we had an escape/intimate wedding. He LOVED it!:cool1:

I saw in the back of the current modern bride (i think) an add where you can have a pub sign made. Like "Jason's Irish Pub" and they looked really cool, and it is not a cliche gift.

No idea how much they cost but I can imagine the guys putting it in an office ro game room. Hell- I wanted one! They were classy looking.

My husband gave his groomsmen Swiss Army Knives. He got them on Amazon.com. No tax, and free shipping because he has Amazon Prime membership. They cost around $32. They all LOVED their knives.

He gave his 2 junior groomsmen these cool lomography cameras from Urban Outfitters. They were in the upper $30s.

We gave our ringbearers big remote control cars, which they loved.

For the Disney wedding, we'll probably do Disney-themed gifts though.

We have not had ours yet but for the BM & GM (2 on each side) we are paying for their hotels the entire wedding time. Then my DF wanted to take one of his GM on a fishing trip & the other hunting. I am sure that I will find something little to give them the day before the wedding like a nice watch or flask engraved
