Hey ladies,

I was wondering what you got your groom for your gift to him on the day of the wedding. I need help. My groom pretty much owns everything and really needs nothing. But yeah so what did you get or will get your groom??

I was having trouble deciding but recently I saw a miniature version of the 'Partners' statue, which he loves, so I think I will be getting him that - it signifies special things to us :lovestruc

I'm in much the same boat.

For my partner, I'm going to oneshare.com and getting one share of framed Disney stock. The engraving on the plaque will say "Happily Ever After Started the Day we Met. I love you"

I recommend a big screen TV. At least 50", 1080p resolution. He'll love it forever...I know I'd be happy if Katy gave me that on our wedding day ;-)

In all seriousness though, from the other viewpoint (the guy's, that is)...a good chunk of us don't even realize its a tradition until way late. And like monana mentioned, many of us have pretty much everything we conceivable want or need. It's just how we work.

So what's common? 2 of my buds have received watches. A third got a new set of golf clubs, but IMO that's a bit of overkill. Cuff links are a possibility, but if your future husbands don't usually rock the french cuffs or often wear a tuxedo, it'd be kind of wasted

I guess ideally it should be something with some permanescence. I initially thought about recommending a nice bottle of wine or a favorite liquor, so that the bottle can remain as a memento...but the more I think about it, I'm not sure I like that idea. A digital camera, engraved lighter (if he's a smoker, a nice pocket knife, something like that maybe.

So yeah...on an aside. I'm open if you ladies have any questions you'd like answered from a male perspective. Just post up or drop me a PM.

I got my DH (and myself!) the Around the World on a Segway tour in Epcot! It was a blast and he didn't mind getting up early to do it!:rotfl2:

He still talks about that tour (three years later) and still remembers how much fun it was.

Just something to think about...

I'm leaning towards getting mine either a watch engraved the ones they hand color at Art of Disney or Disney Artwork of something that has meaning to us.

That's what I am going to do for the One Year Anniversary!! I think it's so cool! :)

I am doing something a little different for mine. He love Star Wars, so I am surprising him with a Star Wars themed groom's cake for our Welcome Dinner for our guests at Jiko. It's going to be in the shape of R2-D2. I can't wait to see his face! :cool1:

I GOT my dh an engraved money clip that said
"all my love today tomorrow and always" then had our wedding date under it, he loved it especially since he hates carrying a wallet. then i also got hima nice set of pens with his monogram on them,

I haven't the slightest idea what to get my DF either! He's crazy sports fan but I usually get him something like that for Christmas. That Disney stock idea is SOOOO cute. Maybe the Richard Petty Driving Experience if he's into racing...? I like the tour idea of some kind. Something you can do together and share the memories even years later. Decisions, decisions!

I'm getting my DF the Richard Petty Driving Experience. He's a car nut and has always said he wanted to do it.

I LOVE the Disney Stock idea as well.

Another bride on here (Honeibee) got her husband the Richard Petty Driving Experience...she managed to keep it a secret right until they pulled up! I remember her saying her DH loved it!

where can you find information about this! it sounds like something my dbf would love. he gets excited seeing the disney guys on them

I'm hoping to suprise DF with the Richard Petty Driving Experience too! He loves racing and I know he will be thrilled.

Has anyone thought of doing a Boudoir Photo Shoot as a gift for you guy??? I was thinking it might be a nice gesture.. I always thought they were a bit on the trashy side but then my mom showed me this site and she talked me into it (she is a photographer and we can do the shoot in privacy).

Go here, click on Wedding Link then click on Photo Galley then on Boudoir...

Just in case he is not a fan, (I am sure he will be) I am also doing the Segway Tour the morning before our Wedding..

Hahahaha! That's so funny because my dad got that for me and my DH for the Christmas before our wedding (about 3 weeks) and my husband, who is not into cars AT ALL, was like, hey, honey, why don't you and your dad do it in my place??

And my dad and I were like OKAY!!! I am SO, SO, SO into cars, and always have been, and my dad just didn't realize how UN into them my husband truly was! But it was a FANTASTIC morning that my dad, sis, and I got to spend together. We have been looking into other Richard Petty tracks to drive, now.

And we loved it. But I was annoyed that we couldn't go even faster.

Anyway, I'm sorry for being off topic OP. I got my DH a set of sterling silver Mickey cufflinks. He could not only wear them on our wedding day, but he is a professional DJ and does weddings all the time, and wears them when he works. And, of course, I love that!

Hang on girls, back up for a second.

Grooms gift? What better gift could there possibly be for our men than to be marrying us? It should be recognised that it is an honour and a priviledge for them!! :rotfl:
