Groom entrance music?

Apparently, I'm holding us all up because I can't decide what music to enter to with the officiant and my best man. I didn't even know this was a thing....guys entering to music, but I guess it's catching on more and more? There are some good classical pieces I'm looking at, but also thinking of going the Star Wars route...because I want it to reflect me. Any ideas?

Go classical..we used Star Wars theme as we entered the reception..but not for the ceremony..the groom, etc just came first before the rest. My DH actually walked his Mom down the aisle then stood..the minister walked from the aide as MIL was seated. She was a single mom a Long time. We also asked for her blessing after my parents (who both walked me down).

Throne room theme isn't bad for an entrance. I was at a wedding where that was done.

Classical is going to be more timeless though.

Our wedding party was small. DH, officiant and best man (and maid of honor) came in to Main Street electrical parade. It's happy, cheery, then I just had a different song for my entrance. We didn't want to have 4 songs for like 4 people.

My favorite classical pieces for bridal parties are Canon in D and Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. I am a church organist. I play for many wedding each year and those are the two most popular.

I say pick what reflects you. We had the officiant and male attendants enter to an alternate James Bond theme, and my husband entered to Mr. Incredible's theme song. It made everybody smile!

I'm 51 and a first time bride...to the most wonderful man.....and have considered (intermittently) having my groom come in an instrumental version of "Some Day My Prince Will Come." hahaha! It would be hilarious to some, and others would either think it is silly or not get it. :rotfl:

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions! I opted not to go with a Star Wars tune, and went with Kyle Landry's piano improvisation of "Beauty and the Beast". We went with a lot of classical choices for the other entrances...and I just love the way the song sounds.

I'm hoping the DJ will play me the Star Wars Disco at the reception, though ;)

Our Officiant, my groomsmen and myself walked out to Duel of the Fates from Episode I.

I thought we were going to get some sort of soft instrumental. That wasn't the case, the Organist made it sound like he was auditioning for the London Symphony Orchestra and everyone absolutely LOVED it.

My husband and 'man of honor' walked in to a song from Final Fantasy (a video game). They will really let you use anything within reason as long as you provide them with two copies on CD.

We want to use some Final Fantasy music in our ceremony too (including for the bridal entrance), so I'm really happy to hear this! :)

I chose Canon in D. My daughter plays the violin and we will record her playing. She will play the slower portion for the groom and groomsmen, herself and the flowergirl then the faster portion of the song for my entrance.

My DH, officiant and groomsmen walked into the pirates of the Caribbean theme song. Our guests thought it was "epic" and it's my favorite part of our wedding video!
