My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon, and we had a great time.

My only issue was that they seem to no longer sell groom ears which bummed me out. We looked everywhere - Downtown Disney, Main Street, etc. Everywhere seemed to sell the bride ears, but I never saw any groom ears for sale.

Just wanted to warn any of you who are going to Disney for your honeymoon :goodvibes

We got back a week ago and we got grooms ears, it is a black top hat with ears attached not on a band like the brides ears.
We got them at downtown disney but i also saw them in the parks. My only issue was they are one size which was a little small for my husband, guess he must have a big head.

Do you still have them? Can you post info about the circumference of them? They might be too small for my DF too. I just want to be able to come up with another option if the grooms ears are going to be too small. We already purchased the bride & groom baseball caps from david's bridal, but my DF is a huge mickey fan and really wants the grooms ears.

It's not that they were not selling them it is that they were out. We got married on Sept. 23 and we were there until Oct1. When we couldn't find it at our hotel (The GF) we looked around the MK. When we couldn't find them there we ordered both Bride and Groom from Disney Floral. We also found them at Mousegears in Epcot and a store at The Animal Kingdom.:thumbsup2

We just got back today from Disney. We went to MouseGear @ EPCOT, Downtown locations, our Resort, we were told that the groom's hat has been backordered for over 3 weeks at some locations, months at other locations. No, Groom's hat to be found but they had plenty Brides Ears. We were told they didn't know when they would be in.

We were just at the WOD store in NY over the weekend and they had both the bride and groom ears. I will probably get the bride ears for myself but I am planning on getting a groom baseball cap and putting Mickey ears on them. The hat definately did not fit my boyfriend.

We put together a baseball cap and mickey ears together. We wanted them removeable, so he could just wear the baseball cap if he wanted to...so we just didn't want to staple them on. You can see the progress here:

This is a fabulous idea. I love that they are supported and removable. I think we might do this for DF.

I was wondering about the bridal headband ears. I tend to get headaches quite easily and I am worried about wearing a headband all day long. If it's even the slightest bit too tight, I might get a headache. Are the ears on the bridal headband as easily removed as the ears on the groom top hat? I am thinking I would like to do this baseball cap project for me as well. Maybe I could even attach the veil somehow? The bride baseball cap is bubblegum pink with Bride spelled out in little crystal sequins. You can see why I would prefer not to use the normal black mickey ears on mine. It would look so much better with the bride ears attached.

If any of you have the bridal ears, let me know if you think it's possible for me to easily detach them from the headband.

Not sure about taking the ears off the headband, but I know they sell Princess ears - light pink hat and bright pink ears (which would match your pink bride baseball cap). I am sure you could take the ears off that hat. Also, I have seen where you can get the plastic ear portion personalized (or do it yourself). If you don't get the bridal ears and you get plastic ears (even if they are black) you can use a paint pen to personalize them (maybe use white or pink paint on the black ears). You can put your names and wedding date on them. You can even put your own sparkles on them. I am sure I saw them being personalized at the Christmas store in DTD.

Hahahaha! Linda, you and I think alike. I was just looking into glitter spray paint. I can get a cheap pair of MM ears off of ebay and make them completly sparkly with silver glitter spray paint. That way they will kind of match the Bride rhinestone lettering.

OR...
They have silver chrome ears attached to the "Where Dreams Come True" Disneyland ears.
Here's the listing for the light up ones:

But they also have ones that don't light up with silver ears, just no photo:

These silver chrome ears would match the Bride rhinestone lettering quite well too.

What do you all think? Which option would be better? Here's the baseball cap I bought (the pink one) for your reference:

I really hope DF is up for this project. He loves going to Home Depot, so I think he'll like doing it. Plus, then we will both have really unique ears.

I love the groom hat!! My DF is fighting me aout wearing the top hat when we go in March...........he said he would give me 4 hours, I told him no, he would give me 4 days!!! Maybe if I make them into a ball cap (since he lives in them) he'll wear it without the fight.
I also love the idea of the bride ears on a baseball cap. I just bought the girls headband (e-bay for $3.25!!) with sequin ears and pastel veil for my bridal shower, but the headband is too tight. Now that ya'll have inspired me, I know how to fix them.
Maybe you 2 should get a job being Imagineers!! Disney would make a killing with the ball cap groom ears idea!!

Hard to choose - I think the sprayed glitter ears would look great and match the crystals. I love the silver ears with the lights but don't know how you could attach them - not sure where the wires go. I think the plain silver ears would be the best. This way you could personalize them with a pink pen. Put your name and wedding date on them. I would probably do this for myself also. I don't know if I want to wear the headband. You could also buy the Disney Mickey and Minnie bridal pins and put them on the hat also.

I made my own bride ears and DH wore the groom hat!:rotfl2: I offered to make him baseball cap style ears, but he wouldn't have it.

I was worried about headaches with the headband too. So I bought a headband that was comfortable for me and made my own. I used the "extra thick" white craft foam to cut out th ears (traced from an old set). I used ribbon sequins around the edges and put some glitter stuff on the ears themselves. It was pretty easy and I would guess it cost about the same. One thing I would do differently is forego the glitter. It didn't stick as well as I would have liked and I ended up with it all over the place.
