Grocery stores

We'll be driving up from San Diego and will want to stop to pick up a few things before checking into the HOJO. What is our best option for a grocery store on the way?

You might want to get off the freeway I-5 in San Juan Capistrano. I know thier is a shopping center with it's back to the freeway right by an exit. This will keep you from having to drive out of the way when you are by the DLR area which is also right off the freeway. You can exit shop and get going just like that. When you get off the freeway in Anaheim you can just take the simplest route right to your hotel.

So if you coming from San Diego, why no just pack the groceries and not worry about finding a grocery store. I doubt things would get stale in 1.5 hours.

I don't know for sure. The sign was red so I'm guessing a Ralphs. I'm pretty sure on the back side facing the freeway it says Pharmacy real bold. This is right before the exit.

Sorry- should have clarified. We're from Indiana and will be vacationing in San Diego for a few days before heading to DLR. We won't be buying any food in San Diego.

Is there anything closer than San Juan Capistrano on our way? We won't have a cooler and will be needing to buy things like milk and keep them cool until we've checked in at the HOJO.

Actually that makes me wonder... will our fridge in our HOJO room already be cool? Or will we have to turn it on? Maybe we should wait and buy groceries after we check in.

In that case, where is the best place to buy groceries near the HOJO (not in their market)?
