:badpc: For the life of me I cannot get the search to work! I have been a big defender of it, but I am about to give up on it.

Could someone please tell me which is the closest non-Goodings store to OKW? I am pretty sure that there is a Winne Dixie down the road from Goodings, but I know nothing about them. How are there prices? and aer they a good store to shop at? I think that the Super Target and Super Walmarts are too far away - am I right?

Thanks!

I'm interested in the same thing. I'll be staying at Shades of Green and was wandering what the closest grocery store is and how would I get there. I'm thinking there's a Publix fairly close but have no clue where it is or how to get there.

There is a Publix off 192 as well as a Super Target on 192, or turn onto 535 off 192 and there is a super walmart.

If you go out to 535 via Hotel Plaza Blvd., the Winn Dixie (turn left at Crossroads) is a couple minutes closer than the Super Wal-Mart (turn right). It's actually the nicest Winn Dixie I've ever been in, prices are not horrible--a lot better than Goodings--but not as low as Wally World. It's not as much of a zoo, if that's also a factor.

Super Target is a bit farther than Wal-Mart, a couple miles, then turn left onto 192.

Grocery Stores
At the Junction of the 192 and Funnie Steed Road is a Winn Dixie

If you turn left on the 192 and drive for approx 1 or so miles to Orange Lakes you will find a Publix Supermarket (on the right hand side).

If you continue left on the 192, take the 27 north (right tuen), just after you get onto the 27 there is a 24 hour Walmart with groceries. Turn right at the first set of stop lights to access it. The walmart is set off the road with smaller stores/restaurants in front of it so it may not be instantly noticeable.

Thanks for all of the replies. I think that we will be fine being that it's so close to OKW I think it's probably the best choice for us. I am going to apply for their savings card also. I appreciate the suggestion!

Another vote for Winn Dixie. Before the GardenGrocer.com service was around, we found Winn Dixie to be much better than Goodings. You can sign up for their rewards card on the Winn Dixie web site ahead of time so you can get the best prices on their groceries.
