How stocked is the small grocery area at WL? Will we be able to get deli meats and cheese? Will we be able to get pre-made sandwiches and salads? Also, if we want to get cereal, can we buy a one-serving size? Thanks! We are wondering if we should buy groceries offsite, or just get them from the little store. We are a big family group of 22 staying only three days before a Disney cruise.

Based on our stays at POFQ and checking out the shop at other resorts ( not WL ) they did not have deli meat or cheese . They did have bread, peanut butter, jelly and other items. The anything pre-made at POFQ & POR was it the foodcourt. With the construction at WL that may not be the case. With the size of your group an offsite service or visit to a grocery might be best. With just DH & I we don't need enough to make it worthwhile but it could most likely work for your group.

When we travel with a large group we always order from one of the grocery shopping services (garden grocer or we go shop, I think). We usually stay in a two bedroom villa, so have a full kitchen. Are you staying in the villas or conventional room?

The resorts which have DVC villas sell groceries because some of the villas have full kitchens. WL has villas. If you google "Wilderness Lodge grocery items" you will see the list of items DVC members can have delivered to their villas - my understanding is that these items are delivered from the resort's gift shop, so they also should be available for purchase in the gift shop. As for premade salads and sandwiches, I think you need a report from someone who has stayed there recently, because the selection differs by resort. The Beach Club gift shop grab and go refrigerated section has a bigger selection than the Boardwalk's does, for example.

There were no pre made sandwiches and salads at the gift shop during our last stay. I've seen frozen items (like pizza) and some incrustables sandwiches. Otherwise it's peanut butter, bread, jelly, etc sold separately.

You sound like you are thinking "too big". There is not a "grocery store" at WL. Rather as the others have said, a small area in the Gift Shop where they sell some staples. They have dried cereal, bread, peanut butter, spaghetti etc. The selection is small. There are no deli meats or cheeses. If you are looking for these types of food for a large group, a grocery stop may be best for you.

Usually the dvc shops have hot dogs, baloney and Kraft singles, eggs, bacon, frozen stuff.

This is the DVC order form for WL: https://disneyvacationclub.disney.g...ons/dvc-resorts/VWL_Grocery_List_03102016.pdf

The form is different for each resort with some different items. The same items should be in the DVC store when you're there.

I think Instacart has better pricing and you can get the first order delivered free.

Thanks for posting, this list is very helpful.

I've used Garden Grocer for our last three trips & have been very happy with them. Here's the deli cheeses they carry, they have a nice selection, they also sell deli meats;
