Hello everyone!

My girlfriend and I are making our first DVC triip to SSR on the 7th of August. (Got the trip booked at the last minute!) We are staying in a studio for a week. I noticed the Grocery order form with limited items on the DVC website. Is that the way to go? Or are there any grocery stores nearby? We won't have a car so I will need to use a cab. Also, What kind of food is appropriate in a studio due to the limited refer space and type of cooking facilities? We will be doing dinner out but will be looking to save $ on breakfast and some lunches.

Any information will be helpful..
Thank you.

Welcome to the DVC. I recommend taking a town car to the resort that stops off for groceries at either Publix or WinnDixie. Check mousesavers.com for town car companies. You only have a small fridge, the kind you would have in a dorm at college. Only a microwave to cook stuff in and a small one at that. Have a good trip.

You'll need coffee and filters (if you drink it)for the full size drip coffee pot that is in the room, tea bags, and also please note that there is a toaster and a can opener in the rooms. Also consider bringing a bottle of wine (there is a cork screw provided as well). The fridge is a bit larger then a dorm fridge to me (it's about 30" h X 25" w). You can certainly fit a good amount in it. I'd consider getting a town car service for your transfers too, but have your grocery list made up in advance, or consider faxing your order to Albertson's and just having to pick it up on your way in (you will have to do a search to find the info for Albertson's if you're interested in that option to get their fax # etc)

Have a great time! We'll be at BCV on the 10th for 3 nights!

Thanks for the info. i checked out "Happylimo" an it looks pretty good.Even though there's just 2 of us, it's probably worth the extra money to get the grocery stop, adn a direct path to SSR rather than doing the mears shuttle.

Another idea to consider is http://www.wegoshop.com

Several DIS'ers have utilized their grocery delivery service. They charge a small fee but they DELIVER to your resort.

I just can't stand spending my precious vacation time at the grocery store!!!!
