I am trying to decided whether to use wegoshop or just suck it up and buy the items I need in the store.
It's just DH and I and only for 5 days in a studio. I was thinking some breakfast items, bagels, juice, donuts. Then some snacks like chips, sodas and some "adult beverages" for our balcony.

We'll probably walk over to the Hess for some items. FYI we aren't renting a car. Anyone have recent experience and have a ball park of what some of those items might cost?

Thanks

SSR does have a selection of items, and they are comparably priced to Convenience Stores, not cheap but not gouging either. The selection is limited but you wouldnt need that much to absorb the minimal fee of wegoshop.

The "adult" bottles are really expensive. I like to indulge a little, so I take those small bottles (airline size) with us or a bottle of wine in my carryon for evenings on the patio.

I pre ordered bagels, cookies, juice, pop, pretzels, milk, cofee, chips, water, poptarts etc. and had it delivered to the room. There were 6 people in the room for 5 days. It was around 45.00 + 5.00 delivery. It was more expensive than the regular grocery store but I found that I didn't over-buy. I tend to impulse buy. IMHO the convience is worth the extra $.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought I read wegoshop was $15 if you purchased $100 and we certainly wouldn't be at $100.

conceirgekelly~you pre-ordered and had it delivered from the hotel's store? I didn't even know that was an option.

This is from the DVC member website.

Take advantage of the opportunity to pre-order groceries and have them delivered to you after check-in at a Disney Vacation Club Resort. Simply print out one of the Grocery List/Request Forms below and fax or mail it to the appropriate Disney Vacation Club Resort.

Search grocery then a list of the resorts will pop up and you can see what they have available. It costs $5 for the service.

That was a very helpful link. It has a detailed list and prices. I figure we're looking at about $40 for breakfast and snack items for the week.

I am renting points for SSR, is there a way I can also have groceries delivered thru member services. Also, does anyone know if you can request lactaid brand milk ??? My daughter is allergic to dairy.
Thanks,
Lisa

The full list of items available and their prices is on the members-only website. Expect to pay 1 1/2 to 2 times grocery store prices for most items...even more for others. Last time we had to buy a 2 liter bottle of soda it was either $3.50 or $4. :earseek:

We went with wego shop. We were there in the heat of August so we wanted a case of water along with our snack and breakfast foods-the savings with wego was more than enough to off set the delivery cost.

I thought the prices were reasonable for food items. The wine was also pretty reasonable The cheapest wine they had was $10 a bottle, but it was a $10 bottle anywhere. In other words, they don't carry "cheap" wine. The beer was @$10 per 6-pack.

I prefer the convenience of the Artist's Palette to work involved in getting groceries offsite. We basically only did breakfast items.
