Can anyone give feedback on using Disney's grocery order system? Are there other grocery services in the area as well?

Hi, Tina. Don't worry--someone will reply--thought I'd bump this thread for you. I havent used any grocery service there yet--but there are a number of threads mentioning wegoshop, as well as others. Try typing that in to the search window; you should be able to find some info. that way, too.

The ones I've heard mentioned are wegoshop.com, gardengrocer.com, and netgrocer.com. I just placed an order with wegoshop this afternoon, but I haven't actually used any of them yet so I don't have any personal feedback for you.

I haven't used any of them either. Wegoshop just went through a change in local franchisee, the new franchisee has gotten a couple of good reviews.

gardengrocer.com is a wdwinfo/disboard sponsor in the DVC info section. They have also gotten glowing reviews.

The "onsite" grocery delivery through DVC should also be fine, they have a more limited list of items, though, as they rely on what is in the resort stores.

Goodings also has a grocery service, though I don't know if it is pick-up only or if they will deliver. Goodings grocery items are pretty pricey in their regular store.

My advise would be to look over all of these sites, make an email or phone contact, and use whichever one you are comfortable with and best suits your needs.

We are using Gardengrocer.com for the first time this Sunday..I left messages at wegoshop.com and gardengrocer.com. They where the first to return my phone call. Brain was very nice, was able to get the items that I emailed him I will let you know when I get back how it went.

Thanks all. I'm looking forward to some GardenGrocer reviews. :flower:

Hi Tina! We used Disney's grocery order system for our trip in Mid-December at OKW. I faxed the order form the day before we got there, and the food was in our room when we checked in. We didn't order much - about $15 worth - but we didn't have a car, so we didn't have the option of driving anywhere, and it was during the time that wegoshop.com was getting some questionable reviews.

I did have a couple of problems with the delivery: they put our bananas in the fridge for some reason (so they were already browning when we got to the room), and they didn't deliver the bread we ordered (nor did they charge for it). However, I would use them again if we only needed a few things.

We used Gardengrocer for our early December trip, and they were wonderful. I had a specific request, so I e-mailed them, after hours, and they responded within minutes, with a resounding no problem, and instructions on how to add it to the order. They were great, delivery was very convient, just gave it to the bell service. We will deffinatly be using them again.

It is unusual for us, too, but a LOT of people I know put bananas in the fridge. I guess it just depends on what their family did growing up.
