Sorry I haven't been around the last couple of weeks! It's been crazy around here and it's not about to let up any time soon!

I started on the train because I have been buying items to be used for Soldiers. One thing I have been working on is buying items to go into bags for a Company of Soldiers currently deployed. Last night a couple of ladies came over to my home and helped me put the bags together. I wanted to post a couple of pics of what we did.

Each male bag contained--A Gillette Fusion razor, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrush, body wash, deodorant, travel size qtips, dental floss, travel size cleaning wipes and 2 purex sheets

Each female bag contained--razor, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrush, body wash, deodorant, shampoo, tampons, travel size qtips, dental floss, travel size cleaning wipes and 2 purex sheets

My DH is AD Army and I consider the Soldiers in "my" Company as belonging to me. LOL!

I try to do things for them whenever I can. This past weekend I had another dinner for the single Soldiers in my Company. I try to do it twice a year for them. Sadly we're the only Company in the BDE that does it.

Even sadder is the reason that I have incomplete bags. I was given the number of single Soldiers in the deployed Company back in July, unfortunately that number has grown since then.

I can't imagine being deployed to a war zone and losing everything I thought I had while there. I know a bag of HBA doesn't make up for it. But it makes me feel good that I can do a little something.

Thank you all for your kind words! I was looking for a way to say Thank You to the Soldiers and thought I could do the bags.

Honestly it scared me! LOL! I wasn't sure I could pull it off and didn't tell anyone what I was doing in case I failed in my mission.

When I had enough I called the ladies in the picture and they came over Monday night to help make the bags and that was when I found out that the number had increased.

I was able to make up some of the short fall from my personal stash but some items were bought specifically for the bags so there weren't any extras.

Today when I came home there was a bag on my back porch full of the Clorox to go wipes (I think someone cleared a couple of shelves!) so those will go into the bags tonite. The extras I will put away for the next set of bags that I make.

I went to JCP at 9:30 this morning to get my $10 Belgian Waffle maker, came home and made waffles for the family! That was the extent of my BF.
