Weekend plans? I'm not sure what we will be doing. We are going through a difficult time right now as we are going to have to put our dog to sleep soon. I know
Kingdomheart2 just went through this and it is such a terrible time for us. He is 13, my husband and I got him 3 months after we got married, he was our Christmas gift to each other that year. He has gone deaf and is losing his eyesight, but it's his skin and legs that are the bad part. He has developed something on his skin in the last year, it's really red, tight and very itchy for him. He gets these big sores on his skin from either the problem or from him pulling at his fur. But his legs are giving out, and they shake real bad when he stands up. Sometimes he just can't get up at all. My husband and I have been talking about putting him down for about a month now, and we just can't bear the thought.
His last vet visit, the vet told us that he has lived his lifespan. He also said that dogs like ours that have good organs don't just die in their sleep, they continue living and it's in severe pain. So we are prolonging his suffering basically. So the other day we told our 3 boys, sat them down and explained it all, and our little tough guy just lost it. He does not want to lose his dog, and the little one just climbed on my lap and cried.
So unfortunately I think this might be what we will have to do this weekend, is say good bye to our dog.
We are heartbroken.

I hope all of you on the Post CArd swap have received your post card. We had a wonderful time and yes I saw a sneak peek of Aulani. It is right next to the Paradise Cove Luau. All I got to see was the building from the outside. One of the tour guides said that the lagoon is shaped like a Mickey head. They will probably have to offer shuttles to Waikiki, because it is a good 30-40 minute drive. But it looks like it will be right on the beach!
