mdrob214 I mailed two small envies to you today at post office. I received coupons from nena but I have to blow dry the coupons. My little neighbor got them out of mailbox and left on my door step but it poured all weekend. If I can salvage them I will go through and mail some I will post later if I can

I know, there is a girl in our book club that is also in NE, and she has been complaining about the extreme heat as well. Yesterday it was "chilly" at times. I looked on my phone and it said 66 degrees, I also have the temp for Vegas on my phone and it was 106, they were exactly 40 degrees warmer than we were. Supposed to be low 70s for us today, another below average day.

Flakypuff- I just mailed a regular envie ( not alot of coupons this time )to you today.

I'm sorry its late , I had planned on getting out yesterday after my Ortho appt. but I got my first cortisone shot in my knee yesterday and by the time I got home my nerve damage decided it didn't like someone poking a needle in my leg and started flaring up.

Dear Zhoen - I am so sorry! Your envelop is going out today.

My zucchini and squash started producing like crazy last week and I have been up to my ears busy with canning, freezing, baking and cooking squash! I've been getting home from work at 4 and working on the garden and the processing until 10 each night. It's exhausting! I'll be better next week!

That's funny stuff! The boys baseball coach is a HUGE NYY fan. His has a big stick on the back of his truck, his daughter's name is Mattingly for goodness sakes, it's like die hard. Anyways, one of my boys is a Red Sox fan, and he went to their first practice and the coach was talking to all the kids and looked at my son, and saw the hat and stopped mide sentence and said "what is THAT?" It was pretty funny.

My mom used to make zucchini bread when I was younger, and I loved it. Do you make that? YUM! We live in the perfect environment for a garden and I really should take advantage of it, but I just don't have the time to maintain it. But we do go to the farms nearby and pick strawberries & cherries, that is always fun.

Weekend plans? I'm not sure what we will be doing. We are going through a difficult time right now as we are going to have to put our dog to sleep soon. I know Kingdomheart2 just went through this and it is such a terrible time for us. He is 13, my husband and I got him 3 months after we got married, he was our Christmas gift to each other that year. He has gone deaf and is losing his eyesight, but it's his skin and legs that are the bad part. He has developed something on his skin in the last year, it's really red, tight and very itchy for him. He gets these big sores on his skin from either the problem or from him pulling at his fur. But his legs are giving out, and they shake real bad when he stands up. Sometimes he just can't get up at all. My husband and I have been talking about putting him down for about a month now, and we just can't bear the thought.

His last vet visit, the vet told us that he has lived his lifespan. He also said that dogs like ours that have good organs don't just die in their sleep, they continue living and it's in severe pain. So we are prolonging his suffering basically. So the other day we told our 3 boys, sat them down and explained it all, and our little tough guy just lost it. He does not want to lose his dog, and the little one just climbed on my lap and cried.

So unfortunately I think this might be what we will have to do this weekend, is say good bye to our dog. We are heartbroken.
