Didn't know what forum to post this under!! What exit closest to Disney Resorts has a grocery and liquor store? We will be coming from the airport. I seem to remember a Publix, but can't remember if there was a liquor store near by??

If you're coming from MCO, you have two main choices - you can stop just before Disney (exit on the 535 north - you'll see Publix, and many other stores within 5 minutes), or just after - go north on the 192, again, many stores, including separate, but costly liquor stores. Both 535 and 192 have entrances right into Disney, so you won't go very wrong with either. Hope this helps!

I'm actually a big fan of the Walmart off 535. I can run into Walmart to get my mixers and anything else I need/want, and then they have a Liquor store in one of the shops located between the 2 entrances.

It's also really easy to get back to Disney from there. Just head back north on 535 and turn left on World Dr which turns into the Epcot Center Drive entrance to the resort.

Okay, just for clarification, grocery stores do not sell liquor. There are a few Walmarts (namely the one off 535) that have a separate area for Liquor. Grocery stores are only allowed to serve beer and wine. So it really depends on what you are looking for. When I pick up people from the airport, we tend to stop by the Walmart on 535. Good selection and great prices. If you want further local information, just let me know.

Do the Publix locations in Orlando not have liquor stores? When Publix acquired the dozen or so on-their-way-out Albertson's locations in SW Florida, most of them came with liquor stores. Not only did Publix keep these, they pretty aggressively added them to their non-acquisition locations. The only ones of which I can think that don't have them are shopping centers were there already was a liquor store as a tenant.

...and I do understand that the liquor is in a separate storefront, separate occupational license, et cetera. It's just that the door is usually within 50 feet of the grocery location, making it trivial to combine stops.

I was just about to post a very similar thread! I'm going to Disney in about two weeks and was hoping to pick up a few bottles of liquor for a good friend that I'm meeting up with and was wondering where I can go.

Specifically I'm looking for some good Tequila and maybe some Vodka, so I guess the Walmart will be out of the question for me. lol

Will be flying in and using DW transportation only. If interested in buying a couple of bottles of wine, what are my best options?
