we are arriving at the beach club in just over two weeks, last year we kept stocking up drinks and snacks through the hotel, but cost a fortune. does anyone know if you can get groceries and drinks delivered to the hotel as this would be a lot cheaper. hope someone can help me:yay:

I believe the place that will do this is The Garden Grocer. They have a web-site. There is a delivery charge.

I have never used them, but maybe someone who has can give you more information.

We have used We Go Shop. Marge was terriffic. They have an easy to navigate website and the service was great. They do not have a list of products. You make your own grocery list with sizes and brands. I liked this, then we could get specific brands that we like. She picked bakery items for us as well, bread, bagels, etc. They will shop at WalMart, Publix, etc. Whatever you specify. They also will deliver beer, wine and alcohol if you choose.

i have heard great things about garden grocer and will be using them for our next trip. i think the delivery fee is around $15? just order everything online.
i have also heard that you can order cases of h2o from costco for delivery.

another option is to ups/usmail all of your non-perishible snacks/foods. we did this last year, and it was extremely reasonable. our big box was waiting in our room when we checked in. i sent it a couple of days pre-departure.

to save on luggage space, i shipped cereal, snacks, sunscreen, diapers, etc...
:thumbsup2

TDS'93 was right on the money about Marge and wegoshop. We have used their services a few times now and they have always been consistently good. We love to have our groceries in our Villa and everything has been just as ordered. :)

Another option is to rent a car for a day and go shopping yourself; however, I think that having the groceries delivered will be cheaper and less hassle.

We love garden grocer!! Very professional service and fresh food delivered right to your hotel room!;)

We have used wegoshop.com 4 times now and will again in the future. I like the fact that I make my own list with the Brands I prefer rather than picking from a list. You can specify the store to be shopped at if you wish. You can indicate whether substitutions can be made, and Marge called me on my cell one visit to ask a specific substition question while she was shopping. They also do not have a minimum order amount.
I ususally order breakfast bars, juices, coffee, water, soda, beer, wine, cheese and crackers and snacks.
Hope this helps

Another idea is the Hess Express across the street from Boardwalk (not too far to walk from BC?) or another one across the street from Planet Hollywood at DTD (take the bus to this one). We always make at least one trip for water, soda, beer, etc. Much less expensive than Disney stores. You do have carry everything back to your room though.

Does Garden Grocer offer beer, wine & hard liquor? I didn't see anything on their website about alcohol?

I know you can order beer and wine. You need to FAX them a copy of your driver's license. When you log onto their website they have a special section for comments/suggestions, (If I remember correctly.) Just request it there. We did during out last trip and had no problem. They are a great company to deal with.

A big vote for gardengrocer.com. We used them last year, ordering from the UK and they were delivered to the CSR with no problem. Saved us a fortune in water alone over three weeks. We definitely plan to use them again in February.

So if they deliver it to your hotel room you have to sit around waiting for them to come? How does that work? We will be arriving in the evening on a Friday night and then want to get an early start the next day.

I'm having a brain freeze so I don't remember if it is called green grocer or garden grocer but this is what a lot of dvc members use. The delivery charge is $12. Ask on the dvc boards they can give you alot of good advice.

No, you don't have to wait around for your order when using garden grocer. You can schedule a delivery time or you can have it delivered before you get there. It will be stored at your resort and someone in bell services will bring it to your room once you check in. It's actually very convenient doing it that way.
